Read onlyHi,
We are UK based and been on the PAN EU program for as long as I can remember.
As the VAT rules changed on 1st August 2024, I was expecting the non-UK FBA fees to have no vat charged on them and just the GB to GB orders to have 20% UK VAT .
However I've noticed that in Poland there are some orders being charged VAT on the FBA fees. This isn't UK VAT, but 23% Polish VAT. It's taken me ages to work out why this might be, but I'm thinking it's orders that are shipped from Polish warehouses to Polish addresses. I can't find anything online about this, Amazon/Google etc, anyone care to have any information on this that they could share with me please?
I've asked Avask (our EU VAT accountants) about this and they have told me this shouldn't be the case and to speak to Amazon about it, which is what I've done (waiting to here back).
Could any other PAN EU sellers see if you can see the same in the transaction view page? It's not all orders, but if you open enough orders you will see the same as I am, hopefully!
I am also seeing this.
Is it because, we in the UK are now invoiced for seller fees to the EU (via Pan-EU) from:
