Error 8572 while trying to list products

I am receiving this error code when trying to make a listing. i have heard this is some sort of glitch ? my UPC barcodes have always been fine with all my other listings and i also have brand registry with my items as well. how can i fix this issue as it is happening with all new listings i try to make.

I purchase my barcodes from Barcodelove and always have so not sure why this is happening

Its not a glitch

It means that the code you are using has already been used in Amazon catalogue and is now locked to that brand.

Only barcodes purchased from GS1 are acceptable to Amazon

From amazon help page on listing with gtins

Valid UPCs

We verify the authenticity of product identifiers by checking the GS1 database. EANs/UPCs that do not match the information provided by GS1 will be considered invalid. We recommend obtaining your product identifier directly from GS1 (and not from other third parties selling EAN/UPC licences) to ensure that the appropriate information is reflected in the GS1 database.

I’m also getting this error using GS1 barcodes from our companies GS1 account, and having brand field as my company name which is also in the GS1 account. I feel maybe it is a technical error on amazon side.

I used to/still get this.

The problem was for me that I was putting in a brand name. Now I use ‘N/A’ in that field and there are no issues.
