Competitor has registered a descriptive term as a trademark and had our listings removed
Hi Admins,
Going to need some assistance please, a competitor has registered the trademark 'Ultra Rare Cards'
This is a descriptive definition in the Trading Card industry, and not the name of any known company. He doesn't even have a website or product etc.
So if our title is for example CARD NAME <Rarity> TRADING CARD (SET NAME) and the card is infact of Ultra Rare classification (the official industry term) we will have Ultra Rare in the title as its important to differentiate it from a Common, Uncommon or other rarity level trading card.
He has had some of our listings removed and this of course is way outside of the scope of "seller support" to actually help.
Complaint ID: 10001486692
This has not just been done to us either, I'm already aware of 3 businesses who sell in the same niche on Amazon having had all of their equivalent listings removed - one competitor having successfully got their listings back online already.
@Maja_Amazon@Julia_Amazon@Winston_Amazon can someone intervene asap please - for someone who actually reads and looks this should be quite a quick one.
Thanks,
Luke

Semi related...
I have had listings removed because I used "Ideal to add to your cleaning arsenal" and it got flagged as a trademark of Arsenal F.C. , despite it being both a word and a place.
Had a huge struggle getting it re-instated.
Have you tried speaking to seller support on the phone? I had to keep trying and eventually, I got through to someone Irish, that could understand the problem and rectified it.

I had some items removed because the word Miraculous was in the title and someone has a brand called Miraculous or some such. However I can't not use the word as it is describing the product which is an image known as Miraculous. Nightmare. I couldn't get it sorted and lost the listings. I empathise strongly. Current battle is Amazon deciding some of my items are toys. They are not. But I have lost that battle too. Hope you get it sorted.

Get the trade mark removed - it should never have been granted if it genuinely has been - just reread your picture - this has not and will not be agreed.. get amazon to revisit.

Has anyone submitted an application to remove the Ultra Rare trademark?

Hello Sellers,
I wanted to inform you that the Complain IDs shared have been noted and the issue has been escalated to our partner team.
Just wanted to make sure if you followed the standard appeal path to get the ASINs reinstated.
We will provide updates as soon as possible.

Hello Sellers,
I wanted to ask you for an update on this topic.
After escalating the issue, it appears that the majority of the complaints have been retracted. Were you able to reactivate your listings?
Please let me know your current status so I can proceed with the necessary follow-up.
Best,
Simon
