Buy shipping - item lost
Hi all
Purchased shipping through amazon website with Hermes for a £500 item.
Trusting HErmes was a big mistake as they lost the item.
Now they are only willing to refund £20 see below
“I have investigated your claim and, due to the level of cover you chose within our standard compensation, we will be processing a payment for maximum value of £20.00 plus £4.79 in postage costs, back to you.”
How am I supposed to claim this from Amazon?
And besides, when purchasing shipping through Amazon there is no option to pay more for higher insurance policy!
Any advice?

The harsh truth is that you can’t claim it from Amazon and that you shouldn’t send expensive items with minimal cover.
