New type of customer cheating at Amazon

I've noticed recently new type of customer's cheating.

2 times last month.

Customer orders 2 units, then he sends message that he got 1 unit, he writes that he recordered short movie how he opened the package but cannot attach it

in messages via Amazon and he just sends me photos showing 1 unit in opened box.

Of course he could take it away earlier.

Finally he asks - when will I send second unit?

Of course this is common robbery - customer wants 1 unit for free. Packages are packaged in warehouse

with cameras watching and I can send proof to Amazon showing that I sent 2 packages as ordered.

But I know Amazon will keep buyer's side and I will only have long-time trouble with unfair customer so I sent him second unit in second package to finish

crazy situation.

Any advices for me in future?

Were they 2 separate orders or 2 units on one order?

Nothing much you can do about this if the customer lies.

Never send a second item though all you are doing is giving into the customer who will be encouraged to try it on with other sellers because they got a freebie once.

Just tell the customer you have checked the CCTV packaging and 2 units were certainly packed and if they could please check again.

You probably won't hear from the customer again and only a very small percentage will then take it up with Amazon.

I have had this also! I replied back to ask the colour of the packaging the item was received in, my white jiffy bags only fit 1 unit so for more than one it would be brown, I had no response back and they have opened an a-z claim and Amazon have refunded both units!! I have counter claimed as the shipping label size and weight dictates 2 units and I do the labels from a list of weights and measurements I take after packing! Its not often that 2 of this item are ordered so I do remember packing it up and I 100% sent 2. See what happens.

It really is time that the police were dealing with the extortionate amount of online theft that goes on with Amazon customers or Amazon should change their policies to support a seller when that seller can prove beyond a doubt that the order was delivered successfully.

I've started getting these, one customer has tried it 3 times now and I cannot win!

For future orders, if you're sending high value items you could try sending them in separate parcels so you have 2 tracking numbers and can then prove delivery of both. I don't know how that'd work with Amazon's tracking system but at least you'd have proof both were delivered to the customer.

Hi

we are facing the same problem and on some occassions buyer are sending old items or empty boxes and amazon is doing auto refunds and than we have go through all the case process

amazon needs to protect the sellers as well

If you are certain that you fulfilled both orders and they were delivered successfully, please report the buyer to Action Fraud UK. It is unlikely that you will get any compensation this time around but by adding their details into a database the more times they are flagged, the more likely the police are to take action.

By taking 5 minutes to file this report you are protecting not only your own business but businesses everywhere. Especially in this climate where Amazon actively enables and encourages fraud. You will note that in many ambiguous policies Amazon likes to throw in: "We will refund the customer [using your funds] to preserve the customer experience."

For any orders placed for more than one item, we record the weight, take a picture of the packaged goods (with the postage label affixed on the scale) and ensure to send it via Royal Mail, Tracked with Signature. This procedure makes sense for us as our items are high-value. Although this does not stop most A-Z claims from succeeding, it does reduce the amount of claims we see.

Hi, if you use click & drop the weight of the packet is on the label. Simply tell them the item is packed, wrapped, weighed & postage applied, so there can't be a missing item?
