Courier Companies
Hi Folks,
Just wanted to get some feedback on courier companies. We currently send out most of our small / medium items through Royal Mail and use a courier company for the larger items.
So far we’ve tried DPD, Yodel and DX:
DPD and Yodel seem to be ok most of the time, not great at getting it there on time but at least it arrives. DX is absolutely shocking, online tracking just doesn’t work and our deliveries are now 3 days late.
Any other suggestions / feedback would be most appreciated.

if you go through a broker such as parcels2go you can get your larger parcels delivered by the likes of UPS and Fedex for the same price near enough as the self employed back-of-a-corsa lot.

Do NOT and I repeat do NOT use APC-Overnight
We have used parcelforce and dpd in the past.
We changed over to APC about ten months ago because they were cheaper and used consignments, not per parcel.
They are absolutely the worst
It’s supposed to be guaranteed next day about 10% of my parcels don’t make it next day
The tracking doesn’t show where the parcels are - and the depot staff can’t locate them either
They have managed to loose 2 x £100 parcels since I’ve been with them
Customers get emails telling them they would have their goods next day and they don’t arrive
Customers don’t get sms even though the website says they will.
It’s an utter shambles. I’m off to another courier next week.

Yes, I cannot trust my business with APC any more.
I’ve spent too long building my reputation, for them to ruin it.
Most of the customers are understanding, but some aren’t.
