Remote FBA Automatic Enrollment: What You Need to Know and How to Opt Out

Evening everyone,

Remote Fulfilment with FBA? What exactly is this? We sell only as FBM.

I received an Amazon notification today stating that I am going to be enrolled in the French market. I am quite sure that I opted out of all European and worldwide selling months ago.

It seems you can opt out, by the 31st December 2024, but what exactly is it in the first place? Amazon appears to want to deal with the vat, the local agreements etc, I guess the seller just sends orders to say Poland? from their own premises.

Now it seems Amazon is determined to push people into this. However, I never asked to be enrolled. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

Hello @Seller_40ozsHlGqPuEL,

This is Sarah with Amazon.

If you have inventory placement enabled in multiple countries and your products meet the following criteria, they will automatically be enrolled in Pan-European FBA:

  • The product is listed as eligible for Pan-European FBA on the Pan-European FBA Inventory page.
  • You have an active offer for the product in each of the Amazon Europe stores listed as required for Pan-European FBA: amazon.de, amazon.fr, amazon.it and amazon.es. Effective May 2, we have introduced exemptions to the Pan-EU FBA listing requirement for products that fall under pre-defined exemption reasons. See the Enrolment exemptions section below for more details.
  • Each of the EU offers is linked to the same inventory with Fulfilment by Amazon. The UK inventory is handled separately.

To exclude a product that meets the automatic enrolment criteria from Pan-European FBA, go to Pan-European FBA Inventory in Seller Central and deactivate the offer in the Amazon store or stores where you don’t want to sell the product.

You can find additional information here.

Kind regards,

Sarah.
