Amazon not accepting invoices for product authenticty complaint
Hi all,
I had a product authenticity complaint about a week ago for a product, I've uploaded the invoices, authorised supplier and all I get back is they
couldn't verify the invoice. They have now removed me from selling on this particular asin
The listing is a variation listing and now I've been targeted on the same listing on a different variation (differen asin), I've uploaded the invoice but hold out no hope. I think I'm being targeted by another reseller as I'm new and able to be the cheapest, these are 100% genuine products and I buy direct from distribution and have just placed another £6000+ vat order on Friday with the supplier.
Any advise on what i can do, i don't want to be suspended for this.
Thanks everyone

You need to supply invoices to cover ALL sales of that asin in the last 12 months and the invoices must be dated in the last 12 months.

Ive had this problem myself before.
It came down to the fact I sent a set of invoices (dated within last 12 months) and the number of units was (lets say for example) 1000.
Amazon said my sales totalled 1100
It took me a long time convincing Amazon I needed to have stock of an item before I could list it on Amazon and if they accepted an invoice from 13 months ago they could now see the number of units I had bought was 1200 so in excess of what I had sold. It took countless messages to support to convince them they had to accept invoices prior to their arbitrary 12 month period to account for these sales as I needed stock before listing on Amazon.
I am wandering if your problem is another example of this - they are counting your sales of last 4 weeks but your invoice is dated prior so they are discounting the units on that invoice.

In order for any detailed insight you need to pop up the asin and your suppliers website.Amazon can be very picky as to who they consider to be a wholesaler/distributer. Also is the asin your listing on the actual brand of the product or has someone created the listing using their own brand for say multiples of the product. I.e its brand x from distributor y but on amazon its sold as brand z then your invoices will never match. This will lead to further problems as you will befound "guilty" on the counterfeit charges and lose your ability to sell on amazon and possibly any funds you have in your account.

Very true - and hence why I keep asking Amazon to define exactly what they mean by Brand but never get a response.
For example, if a manufacturer has an official license with a brand to make a product (lets say company XYZ has a license to make Spiderman toys) - then what should be entered for Brand - is it XYZ or Spiderman?
It is further complicated in that Spiderman is owned by Marvel Comics which in turn is owned by Disney - so should Brand actually be XYZ, Spiderman, Marvel or Disney?
Looking up the EAN for the toy and it will point back to XYZ as owning it - not Disney, Marvel or Spiderman. This sometimes leads to complications with Amazon saying something is counterfeit when describing the item as a Spiderman toy. Amazon may then ask to see the official license granted to XYZ - but XYZ do not want to divulge such commercially sensitive information.
Also, XYZ may also only allow account holders to view their website (you have to sign in to view products/prices) so if Amazon attempt to view a product on a supplier website to verify data they will hit a brick wall.
The whole system is a complete mess and needs a complete overhaul. TBH, and in my opinion, Amazon is no longer suitable for small independent sellers who source products from wholesalers or from manufacturers who create licensed products. It has gotten too complicated with branding issues and claims of counterfeit goods. Soon it will only have shops/goods direct from big label brands and the manufacturers of private label goods.

Hello,
product is this asin B08JD5PV9F
I've got a certificate from the brand now, stating that I can sell this product and I've invoices from the distributors that are also authorised to sell the product to me.
Annoyingly amazon sell this brand and use the same distributors as me.

you might need to take a closer look at the listing although the brand in the listing is Kingston the top of the page is the kingston store which may be a company selling kingston memory sticks calling the brand the kingston store.
Hope you get it sorted out and amazon have not disposed of your inventory.
