Sending to AWD with an Amazon-partnered carrier?

We are trying to arrange an AWD shipment and we would like to know at least valid and reliable answers as we are confused with some parts:

1.) What is the minimum small carton amount we can send to AWD and have an Amazon-partnered carrier pick up from our manufacturer/supplier (our supplier is from China)?

2.) Does Amazon-partnered carriers usually have an issue with the small cartons weighing individually at 5kg?

3.) Amazon only gave me three choices of their partnered carriers: LinkTrans, Jiufang, and Niuku; of all three, which is the most reliable?

4.) If an Amazon-partnered carrier picks up from our supplier, do they need export license or the carrier will provide it most of the time?

5.) Which is the better experience: supplier will drop off the package to the warehouse of Amazon-partnered carrier in China or the carrier will pick up from manufacturer?

6.) Is there no small parcel delivery when an AWD shipment is Amazon-managed (shipping by SEND program)?

Feel free to share your experience as well in arranging an AWD shipment from China to U.S., if it was successful, any other things we should note, etc. Thank you!

Our partner team thanks you for those questions about AWD, and asked me to share the following answers:

1.) What is the minimum small carton amount we can send to AWD and have an Amazon-partnered carrier pick up from our manufacturer/supplier (our supplier is from China)?

View post

For AWD shipments from China, there's no minimum carton requirement. You can ship as little as one carton or as many as 5000 using either Amazon Global Logistics(AGL) or SEND program under an Amazon-managed service, with carrier pickup available.

Amazon-partnered carriers regularly handle 5kg cartons without any issues. This is a standard weight within their operations.

3.) Amazon only gave me three choices of their partnered carriers: LinkTrans, Jiufang, and Niuku; of all three, which is the most reliable?

All three carriers -- Linktrans, Jiufang, and Niuku -- are partnered with Amazon, and they're all officially vetted and reliable.

4.) If an Amazon-partnered carrier picks up from our supplier, do they need export license or the carrier will provide it most of the time?

View post

For export licensing, sellers have two options: use their own export license or use the carrier's export license. Seller can select their preference during the AWD shipment creation process.

5.) Which is the better experience: supplier will drop off the package to the warehouse of Amazon-partnered carrier in China or the carrier will pick up from manufacturer?

View post

Both delivery options (supplier drop-off at carrier's warehouse or carrier pickup from manufacturer) are available. The choice depends on seller's specific business needs, costs, and logistics arrangements with their supplier.

6.) Is there no small parcel delivery when an AWD shipment is Amazon-managed (shipping by SEND program)?

View post

When using Amazon-managed SEND program, Small Parcel Delivery isn't available, as SEND currently only works with LCL (Less than Container Load). However, sellers can choose their own shipping carrier if they need to ship their freight as Small Parcel Delivery.
