A-Z Claim Help Please
A customer ordered a shawl Wednesday evening last week, I processed it and sent it Thursday, after I sent it they then messaged me requesting different details to those given in the customisation box - the shawl had already been posted so I replied, apologised and said it had already been sent.
This was sent Thursday via RM48 via Buy Shipping.
On Sunday they open an A-Z, the funds go into reserve on my account. The item tracking shows when it was collected (manifest scan) and shows delivered on Saturday.
They opened an A-Z stating they have been away for the weekend and came back to a card saying the parcel has been put in the bin but there is nothing in the bin.
Amazon have granted the claim, seller funded today! This was buy shipping and shows delivered.
How can this be, is there anything I can do?

You can appeal using the format they give you in the A-Z Claim notification to give the tracking details.

Is there a photo on the Royal mail tracking page, as we are getting these now

Yes I could contact RM actually. I will do that, I can’t claim with RM48 as there is no compensation on it, but worth an ask certainly.
Just checked for a photograph, no photo, only the map with tracking co-ordinates.
Am I able to contact the buyer to tell them I am contacting Royal Mail to investigate with their local delivery office as to why the parcel was left in a bin?

It wasn’t the fully tracked service so I don’t think there will be but I will ask them.
Yes I wasn’t sure if it was against the rules to contact them after this, they normally first message if there are any issues and I then say confirm address and RM will investigate with delivery office and postman etc, but they’ve skipped that stage with me by going straight to A-Z.
