Amazon seem to know more about my deliveries than I do.. Help
Hi,
We delivered an item to our customer and it is showing as delivered and signed for the next day.
The customer is now asking us where the package is and got the below message off Amazon saying the package was delayed by the courier but our courier says it was all on time.
Has anyone heard of this delayed message being sent to customers and do you have any idea how they have knowledge of this? According to our courier this information is false and it was delivered on time.
Thanks.

The tracking information that you entered at the time of dispatch…

Just provide the tracking info to the customer. If the customer queries it you could get a proof of delivery from the courier company.

As you will quickly find out if you try to dispute an A-Z claim on this subject Amazon do not recognise the Royal Mail 2D tracking data as this is not a signed for delivery. As such when their system looks at the tracking data it sees no proof of delivery and defaults to item is late or lost. If you do not upload this tracking to the order you will not get the message. All very annoying when the Royal Mail tracking system shows the item as scanned and delivered with a date and time.

Yes, has happened a few times over the last year. Customers contacted me to say they had received their order than got the sorry delayed email. Amazon say it’s not them sending the emails!! Definitely must be a glitch in the system.

We have this happen every week. We use order software that adds tracking information upon marking as shipped. And we still get discrepancies with their Tracking and actual Tracking.
We’ve actually had a customer leave us negative feedback, because her order was delivered, but Amazon was still saying it wasn’t ()
We have a lot of customers get in touch as they rely on Amazon’s tracking, despite us sending our own tracking information to them upon dispatch.
We also (like others here) have had many customer’s “trying it on” because Amazon says it hasn’t been delivered, when we inform them it has and there appears to be correct GPS and a signature, we never hear from them again.
