If all the shops are closed how are they going to return the item even with a return label?

What should I do from here pay for the return and book a collection from there house then deduct that off the Purchase cost or tell them all post office are open…and how long do customers get to send the items back as it’s been 12 days since they open the return and it took them almost a month to realise that it wasn’t useful

How should I reply As I’ve read on this forum they can just change the reason for returning so should I say referring to Amazon Policy we dont have to supply free return labels ? Or something alone them lines

I’ve read everyone elses comments to date as well (I’d also say as a Seller, you should have policies in place to action such things, otherwise that is why Amazon take over for everyone).

I’ll mix in UK law, and Amazon rules, assuming sold on Amazon UK, not Prime, basically:

If unwanted, just Buyer remorse (NOT defective, and nothing missing, not wrong item, etc). Buyers have 30 days from date received by them to request a return, then an extra 14 days to return it. They have to pay for the return, and if you provide a courier/post label then you can deduct that (you MUST tell them that and the cost in advance). If request over 14 days, then if you charged them shipping, that does not have to be refunded.

If defective, part missing, wrong item, etc. Buyers have 30 days from date received by them to request a return, then an extra 14 days to return it (if refund required, longer if for repair). The Seller has to pay for the return, and if you provide a courier/post label then you cannot deduct that. If you charged them shipping, that has to be refunded as well.

If received back different than sent, and not courier damage, then you can charge a fee (as not as new), again inform the Buyer.

Why is he returning the item, if part is missing, then you have to cover the cost, so you want cheapest method to return. I’d look up his address, give him local courier drop-off store. parcel2go.com is a reasonable cost, and he can book himself and find out all places near him.

We use this Company for Parcelforce 24 labels, you need to book and pay in advance (they will refund if label not used, as long as you ask) then he can take to any Post Office, covers 30Kg, inc £100 insurance for fixed amount (max sizes, look up, but they are large), and is far cheaper than the Post Office.

Use this link and they are giving £25 free parcels for new customers:
https://despatchbay.com/start/22381

(they are reasonable cost, far cheaper than you paid UPS) - you could book, provide the label and inform him if he uses the label the cost is £xxx (for unwanted items). (You can also book collections + £1.95 + VAT I think if ad hoc).

If he went to the Post Office and used Parcelforce 24, the label would cost him £17.70 (5Kg) or £21.12 (10Kg) inc £100 insurance (so you can be far cheaper than that and you can quote you are less cost) - https://www.royalmail.com/price-finder .

You MUST authorise the return, remind him date to return by. If returned after the deadline, you can refuse the return, but Amazon usually expect you to accept back, but as over time, you can again charge a fee, I’d let the Buyer know though. Be polite, and helpful to let them know the dates so they don’t get charged.

Okay so I’ve messaged via the return with 2 solutions option 1 links for them to use the book a collection them self
Or option 2 I book collection on there behalf this will be deducted I’ve also kindly ask them to return before the end of this month or there may be additional fees if returned so not much more I can do now
