VTR and Royal Mail Signed For

I have been sending everything Royal Mail "Signed For" with a valid tracking number since early January and my VTR is only 80% since several parcel are not showing as delivered. How are we supposed to achieve 95% when the posties obviously are not getting signatures from the customers ?

Why send Signed when Tracked 24/48 is cheaper and almost guaranteed to get a scan somewhere on its journey and thus satisfy VTR requirements?

As above - Tracked 48 would suffice for VTR. Ours was almost always at 99%.

If you are just taking on a signed for service to 2nd class - it may still not get a delivery scan.

That being said - signed for is 'supposed' to help with any A-Z claims, though annecdotally on the forums, it doesn't even help if you get a signature.

I'd move to Tracked 24/48 if you can.

I have filed multiple claims and been paid by Royal Mail for not getting a signature so sending "Signed for" is easily paid for !!!

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I would love to used Tracked 48 (as I do on eBay) but it isn't an option for me. I think I remember someone saying that you needed to have a RM account - is this still the case?

Thanks

unsure sorry. We have an account though I appear to be able to buy it as Joe Public on the Royal Mail website

You can buy it via click and drop not via amazon

You can buy it 'over the counter' at POs too.

wow impressive, I am at 97.18% though an improvement from last month when they temporarily banned me from a category and I was down to 67% in some categories. Thing is I am not doing anything different compared to last month. All RM with about 50% Tracked 48 with the rest LLs, business account connected to Buy Shipping. With Tracked 48 we have the option to have a signature which is something I only do for more expensive items.

My VTR was 99%, has also gone down to around 80%. I send every single order RM24 or tracked 24 through RM click & drop.

I have checked the postage details on the orders and it shows the correct tracking number but always an incorrect delivery method. I opened a case over a month ago and am still waiting for a resolution (I had to re-open the case a couple of times because they didn't understand the issue and said it was my fault).
