What planet are Customer Service on?

So I wake up this morning to a refund email for an order that I did not process a refund on.

Look into it - buyer ordered Friday, RM delivered on Saturday, Buyer said item not received despite Amazon Buy Shipping tracking showing delivered.

Customer services issue refund for “Item not received but delivered” - wtf?

We might as well just send our items out for free to buyers and pay Amazon for allowing us to give our stock away.

I can’t cope with the unfairness of this dictatorship anymore!

“Item not received but delivered” that’s a new one and here I was hoping for glitch and problem-free week! I suppose, after the returnless refunds, we should be more openminded now :grinning:

I jumped ship as with covid I could see the scammers having a field day. Amazon are wrong in every respect and unless you like a gun to your head then get out. There are other legit platforms to go to so go to them and suffer no more. No point in getting stressed for the likes of Sc Amazon

I had something similar the other day. I got a refund advice showing an order had been refunded for item not as described, but no return request had been submitted, no A-Z case opened. I tried to contact Amazon and all they told me was to wait 15 days for the item to be returned.
But I cannot see any evidence a return is happening. Had I not just noticed the email, I would never have known.

The problem is that since Covid some posties don’t even knock on the door, they just leave the package on the doorstep and scarper. Some of my posties did this even before Covid but it’s even worse now.

I live in a quiet tucked away spot so packages don’t get nicked, but some others are not so fortunate.

Then there’s the scammers who will take advantage of the current situation and just try it on anyway.

Unfortunately I think we’re on a hiding to nothing with this one.

The item was fulfilled by merchant. Buyer ordered on Friday, postage was bought via Amazon Buy Shipping and full tracking (without signature) was obtained on Saturday morning. Buyer messaged Sunday to say that they had not received item. He then subsequently must have called Customer service who immediately refunded the buyer.

My point is there was no A-Z claim or chance for me to investigate. The buyer said he hadn’t got it, they refunded him immediately. Why do we bother paying extra for tracking if they take no notice of it?

I have been advised to “file a claim under delivered but not received”. Instead I have filed a SAFE-T claim but I’m not holding out any hope.

I just give up with Amazon - their processes are so unfair.

Go back into the original order, Order Details and it should show you the original purchase date, refund applied etc. etc etc
At the top right there is a “Request a Review” button.
I’ve never used it but I always assumed it was there to review a refund issued by an over zealous Customer Service Agent

I can’t agree more! I have had this happen to me twice in one day recently. The only way I found out was through an email they sent me mentioning the issued refund that I did not authorise! They don’t even have the courtesy to address it with you properly before issuing a buyer a refund for a reason that is not true. I had no idea they did this practice, the combined value of items they refunded was over £250. I then had to submit a ‘Safe-T’ Claim with the Royal Mail Tracking Code which they already have in the first place to get my money back! This is one of the many issues I have with Amazon!
