Importing items to UK (from Non-EU) - EORI

Hi, Could anyone please confirm -Is it must to have the EORI number to import items from outside UK (non-EU) country. Seller confirmed they can deliver the products door to door and take responsibility of custom clearance . Is it still mandatory to have the EORI number?

Hello @Seller_hLutA9rOCCWhy,

Thank you so much for posting on the Seller Forums!

I found this help page that might be useful, Importing and exporting between the UK-EU customs border, specifically this part,

'Using a customs broker or freight forwarder

Requirements can vary for signing up with a customs broker or freight forwarder. But both entities will generally require the following:

A signed power of attorney that allows the customs broker or freight forwarder to represent you

Customs documentation, including an Economic Operators Registration and Identification (EORI) number and a VAT number.

A credit check for any pending VAT bills or other issues'

I hope this helps and please do let us know how it goes!
