DD+7 kicked in for me this week.
Had a small balance that as expected went into Account Level Reserve.
Again as expected subscription and postage came out of that balance, but my net proceeds seem to have just disappeared. Was expecting them to go into the reserve.
Is this correct, and they will appear once DD+7 is reached? Or has something broke?

Has your total balance disappeared or just the net proceeds?
before the 18/09/2024 each time confirmed dispatch, the money would be in my balance within 30 minutes. Now each time I confirm the money does not go into my balance but into a deferred account. Advertising cost is been taken out as usual but my account balance seems to be very low now. Is this normal? Please help.
This is not normal for DD+7, this has never happened to me.
Other sellers are reporting sales going into deferred so either Amazon have changed the way it works for some sellers or there is an issue they need to resolve.
It looks like it's another change, this is from Amazon
" A deferred transaction is a transaction that will be paid out to you at a future date. Most transactions are deferred for some period of time before they are paid out.
You can view a list of your deferred transactions on the Transaction view page. On this page, select “Transaction status” as Deferred transactions from the drop-down and click Update to see deferral reasons and the expected payment release date for all deferred transactions. After the payment release date, transaction status will update to Released. Note that only released transactions are included for payout in a settlement period.
Why is my transaction deferred?
The following are the deferral reasons that you may see on the Transaction view page:
Delivery date policy (orders are awaiting delivery)
Orders placed by customers on Amazon are typically subject to Delivery date-based reserve policies. Sales proceeds are reserved until we know that the buyer received the order in the promised condition, and to ensure that you have enough funds to fulfil any returns, claims or chargebacks.
Note: Previously, sales proceeds withheld through delivery date-based reserves appeared as a lump sum amount “Account-level reserves” on your Payments dashboard. This is now shown as deferred transactions so that you know exactly which orders are subject to these policies and for how long they will be reserved.
Invoiced orders (Orders are pending buyer payment)
Invoiced orders placed by Amazon Business customers are deferred while awaiting payment by the buyer. These transactions will be released after the customer has completed their invoice payment, which typically occurs within 30-45 days after the order date. Note that these orders are also subject to delivery date policies, but in most cases, the invoice due date will be later than the reserve period."
The only positive thing is that you get a report that tells you when the funds will be released for every item you sold;.
Thanks for this.
They haven't implemented this for me yet but if they are starting to roll it out I am sure I will get it one day.
The biggest problem with deferred transactions is that they don't appear in any transaction or settlement reports until they are actually paid out. This causes issues with accounts.
This is already an issue with business customer who's transactions are deferred. I hope they have handled deferred transactions due to DD+7 differently.
I noticed the same with regards to the transaction report (I used to do a download by settlement period), but now when you choose the settlement period option it doesn't include the deferred sales.

It does. Under All Transaction Statuses shows which orders have been released.
Hi, yes it does say released but it says that on all the orders but I have not been paid for the orders today etc it just means that the order has been fulfilled and Amazon have released the payment to their holding account, I just wanted to know what orders they have released to my bank account not to theirs
On my payments dashboard it says that I have a 'Standard Orders' balance and 'Deferred Transactions' balance under that.
I thought that my standard orders balance would be available for payment, but I can not withdraw anything. Is this normal?
The products I sell are all FBA so I don't see why they are doing DD+7 for me. I currently have around £4,000 on hold. It does seem like they are doing it to raise more money.
I have in the past year sold over 600 items to Amazon despite the fact they are also selling that item cheaper. it's like they are buying for me and selling it cheaper to another customer. Amazon also price match to Argos and Very even when they are clearing stock at a loss. Amazon are making a loss to get sales. By holding on to all of our money it's like a Ponzi scheme.
I'm having the same issue, my balance is never available even though the DD+7 has passed, I have put account in holiday mode as I am not selling for free, I have raised a query with them. not had a payout since 19th Aug, I had daily dispersments nothing, i'm not a charity, thank goodness this is not my main platform anymore
DD+7 is the worst policy in the history of policies on any platform in the history of online selling. It causes a vicious circle unnecessarily and is totally counterproductive for small businesses. Businesses rely on cash flow to operate efficiently. This policy stifles cash flow. I at present have 81 orders to send, I have everything ready to go but I can’t pay for the postage. (My orders are 90% in Europe I don’t purchase shipping to these destinations from Amazon as the option I require isn’t available in Buy Shipping). I have to set long delivery times because my cash flow is being held back by Amazon. This is causing a backlog of orders which wouldn’t exist if I had the proceeds of my sales. Inevitably there are then some customers who complain via feedback or claim which then Amazon of course hit your ODR which cause losses of Buy Boxes and drops in sales. All of this could be prevented if the old system of daily disbursement was implemented. Some people will say get a loan however not everyone is in a position to be able to do that and why should I have to get a loan and pay extortionate interest when I already have enough to cover my postage expenses in my balance? It’s an absolute disgrace to be honest. I’m not a criminal, I just want to sell and make my money. We’re told that the money is on hold to cover claims, first of all if there’s a claim I’m not running away like a thief in the night and second all of my claims and bad feedback stem from the above described catch 22 situation. So basically the “root cause” of my bad performance is this useless policy.
I must have moaned about this hundreds of times but when you can see that there’s literally one thing that is making your life impossible and it’s so unnecessary and in fact it’s causing all of the issues it’s really hard to take.
