How has royal mail been for everyone since last wednesday?
how’s it been for everyone? getting so many emails last couple of days from post that was dispatched on 13th/14th/15th/16th december. I know royal mail have a reduced workforce in some areas but to take over a week and still not deliver is just a joke!

All those dates have been a problem to all over the uk.
Never had as many messages regarding late delivery.

Yep, got one from the 10th still not delivered and one that a replacement was sent to where neither turned up.
None have been in the areas RM have flagged up.
Not as bad as last year though

Royal Mail has been a problem this entire month. It’s been the same every year. You would think a company of their size would know how to forecast for something like this and take action well in advance.
However, this is Royal Mail we are talking about - they are more than happy to purposefully under-perform and hide away from their problems and the publics perception allows them to get away with this because they are seen culturally as a long standing institution.
Any other courier would be expected to meet deadlines stringently around this time of the year - somehow Royal Mail always gets a free pass. Fingers crossed they go under soon.

My posted items from the 12th and 13th mostly seemed to arrive yesterday ( including one I bought from etsy) so I’m hoping they might have caught up now

i completely understand the situation we are in at the moment and I do believe royal mail staff on the ground are working as hard as they can, there is no denying that. But what i do have an issue with is royal mail not clearly making the public aware of the delays or even putting out a statement saying there is a significantly increased handling time etc. Instead they just carry on taking in mail like there is no problems and expect us to just say ‘oh poor royal mail they must be up to their neck in it’.
Like another person said on here, if it was any other courier doing this we would be furious. Its not the people on the ground doing all the hard work that i have an issue with, its the people higher up.

Personally I do not think many of the claims what come through this time of year are genuine. Theres usually a small group of them who put in claims as soon as they see there is a delay advertised online.

Awful when it comes to any 2D barcode items, otherwise any tracked service has been quite ok, just a few more ‘missing’ item than usual…

i changed post office delivery office areas to get perfect posting as my local one was useless and not had as many issues as last year yet lol

Hi we had the message below from Amazon today
Hello,
We have identified that your Valid Tracking Rate for seller-fulfilled orders in select categories has dropped below the 95% requirement. If your Valid Tracking Rate continues to be below 95%, we may remove the listings for your seller-fulfilled items in the affected categories on Amazon.co.uk.
Why did I receive this message?
We have observed that you have provided valid tracking numbers for less than 95% of your seller-fulfilled orders in select categories. Sellers must provide valid tracking numbers for at least 95% of their shipments with integrated delivery service providers in all categories. For more information on Amazon policy on this topic, go to “Valid Tracking Rate (VTR)”:
