SKU Issues - not sure what I need to do excatly?

Hello, I have a book to sell with an ISBN number.

The following error message keeps coming up and I have no idea why or exactly what to do to resolve? Please can someone help? I have tried contacting Amazon three times and am none the wiser. I have tried deleting and starting again.

“There is no record of the SKU corresponding to this update on your account. This commonly occurs when there are other issues on your SKU.”

When I go into the draft listing to try and resolve … it asks me in the ‘More Details’ tab for the language, which is English? but this doesnt work?

Really stuck, please help.
Be so grateful

Are you trying to create the listing yourself from scratch? If your book is one you wrote or published yourself and has an ISBN issued by Nielsen (the UK ISBN agency) it is probably already listed on Amazon, or will be when Nielsen do their next regular update to the Amazon database. In that case, all you have to do is add your sale offer to that listing. Go to Inventory – Add a product – key in the ISBN and the book details will appear

If the above does not apply, post the ISBN on here so someone can see what the problem might be, but SKUs are sellers’ own identifiers (chosen by them or allocated by Amazon) for their products, so it may be you have created two, or more, SKUs for the same book

Hey, Thank you so much for your reply. This makes sense and I understand. The Author only put the details onto Nielson yesterday, it says onto their database in 2 working days eligible for inclusion elsewhere within 5 working days. So im not sure if this means Amazon can pick up the ISBN in 2 (Wednesday) or 5 working days (Friday)?

Shall I delete the listing I drafted because ill be able to pick our book up when Neilson loaded details?

Also, thank you so much for explaining this, I was completly in the dark before, so thank you

This is the exact same problem that I have. I don’t think my 3 booklets go to Neilsons though as it’s tide tables that get reprinted new each year

I have this exact same problem, only mine are with 2 beauty items. After a LOT of to’ing and fro’ing with SS about what I need to do, mainly things I had already done, SS have said it has been passed to internal team and I need to wait for them to come back to me. That was 8 days ago…I’m leaving it till 10 and then I will chase them on it…mainly because I’m fed up of chasing them on things
