German Tax Certificate

Hi Everyone,

We sent the following message to Seller Support a number of times regarding our German Account which as been deactivated due to the requirements of providing a Tax Certificate if you meet one of the following:

o You store inventory and fulfil from Germany.
o You ship goods to German customers from another EU country where your inventory is stored and your total sales to German customers exceeds €100,000 per year across all sales channels.
o You ship goods to German customers from a non-EU country and you (or the carrier on your behalf) are the importer of record.

Our Message/Case to Amazon Seller Support:
Please would you help in reinstating our Amazon.de account. I would just like to provide you with some information to why we think our account has been deactivated. Our account was hacked last year at the end of October 2018 by someone in German, this person added over 250,000 items to our inventory changed all the business information on our account and made over €70,000 in non genuine sales in a couple of days, Please take a look at our account from the 18th of October 2018 - 31st of October 2018 orders on our Amazon.de account totalling €69,719.38 most of these where made by the hacker around €69,000.

Amazon reversed all of these transactions and sanitised our account removing all of our listings this took another additional week to complete. It appears these transactions totalling €69,000 which, were made by whoever hacked our account pushed our transactions over the €100,000 threshold in a twelve month period, I must stress these are not genuine sales we have never gone over €40-50,000 in a twelve month period and I’m certain this is why account has deactivated even after submitting a Tax Declaration 5 or 6 times but were still been deactivated.

Obviously we wish to have our account reactivated but need some assists.

We haven’t stored stock in Germany nor fulfilled from Germany never.
All items have been shipped FBA from the United Kingdom.
We have never generated sales exceeded sales of €100,000 until our account was hacked if this is the reason why we have be triggered how do we get this reversed as previously mention these sales weren’t genuine. Surely how can we be required to obtain a tax certificate and a VAT number when we have never got close to exceeding the €100,000 threshold.

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards
Account Holder

Have you run an FBA inventory location report to make sure that none of your FBA returns have been located in a German Warehouse, or even sold from there?

It sounds like you have significant German sales - it would surprise me if at least some of your units hadn’t found their way back there.
