Contract with Product Photographer
Some advice please.
I’m contracting a new product photographer in UK to photograph new products.
The norm for photographers is they own the copyright, unless it is stipulated in contract. In which case I/we would want to own the copyright.
The reason being is that on numerous occasions, we’ve had to challenge IP Imaginary theft on Amazon and Alibaba. Thereby copyright is essential.
However photographer doesn’t want to relinquish copyrights but offer: full usage rights in perpetuity . This means you can use them for your business forever, however you want .
It means we can use the images forever, but copyright is owned by photographer.
Any suggestions as to how we can gain full copyright?

I would imagine that the only way unless getting the photographer to change his mind is to take the pictures yourself
I have seen on here before though when it comes to sellers themselves being accused of copyright, the contract with the photographer was enough proof
