Your package ... may still arrive ... request a refund ...T&C ? Policies?

Hi Guys,

Although I am lucky enough to so far not to have been subject to the …

Your package may be lost, We’re very sorry your delivery is so late. Although it may still arrive, you can request a refund now.

… palaver, I’m obviously outraged on behalf of my fellow honest sellers.

I was just wondering if there are any precedents for this in EITHER customer / shopper Terms and Conditions. Or Marketplace Seller Terms and Conditions. Because I can’t find any reference to this either as a seller or a buyer … ?

( and on another note, I am scanning MoneyScammingExpert everyday, waiting for something along the lines of Martin’s Hot Deal Email, " Amazon order late ? Get it for FREE and KEEP the product " …sigh )

How do you send your mail?

I haven’t been subjected to the your orders are late get a refund because we dont send the majority of items tracked and those we do we do not enter the tracking number into Amazons system. This way Amazon bots do not know if its late

I send all my mail by franked mailmarked business class. It is all low value items mostly £5 to £15

I sent about 18 large letters 1st classed signed for on the dreaded Easter Tuesday the 14th of which the last two were delivered wed and thurs. The customers didn’t even query where they were. If I would have entered the tracking into Amazons system they may have tried for a refund. As far as I am aware the signed for is no use for Amazon at the moment as they are authorising the refund and declining most appeals on INR A-Z claims because they are not being signed for by the customer

Ah ok, mine are mainly low value items too but I’m not happy to do all the refunding and I do like the delivery confirmation (with 24 and 48) I just wish amazon would see it as other platforms do.

I have an OBA and have this week sent all parcels tracked 48 on my account. I have a daily collection. Today I thought I would check them. Nothing. No recognition on the track and trace site. So panic stations. I have added costs to my items to send this way too and each one has cost in excess of £6 - this is on my account! I sent 17 yesterday this way.

I have looked at that “new service” you mentioned earlier today and it is over £1 cheaper, I emailed my RM manager earlier asking about the tracked LL price - she said I don’t have it on my account but I can see them. It is so much cheaper than my account prices so I might change to that, I assume the postie can take them when he collects.

I had loads of non receipts for Easter week, I’ve refunded a lot, a lot we’re ok to wait. In some cases this virus I feel does bring out the worst in people some are so aggressive and rude, it makes you wonder if they know there’s a real person on the receiving end!

I’ve sent every large letter RM24 today and every parcel Signed for RM24, like you say tho I probably shouldn’t have bothered with the signed for but these are the ones I was sending tracked and they’ve not even registered on the track and trace!

I had a guy buy a £150 handheld console. Opened an AtoZ on 22/4. Auto granted. He then accepts the console, signs for it on 23/4. I appeal the AtoZ which changes to Amazon funded.
Does anyone DEFINITELY know whether he HAD to pay or did he get to keep the item for free?

As an Amazon customer…

I was let down by a (non Amazon) supplier. I found the product I needed on Amazon where express delivery was available. I bought the product, a small 1kg pack on Tuesday. I paid (wait for it) £17.93 for EXPRESS delivery. To be delivered by Friday.

The Amazon seller marked the package dispatched on Tuesday, the day I bought it. On Thursday I asked for a tracking number and I got, what was an obvious auto responder reply.

Today I HAD to have the item and the Amazon seller told me they hadn’t even dispatched it yet. I found it elsewhere and drove 120 miles round trip to get it. The Amazon seller offered me a refund on postage 7pm today, the day I was supposed to have got it by. I told them to cancel and refund the whole order as they still haven’t shipped it.

As a buyer, I am livid as I do not think sellers should be offering extortionately priced express delivery if they cannot even ship for 3+ days.

The first thing I did when this crisis hit was turn off express delivery option to avoid disappointment. Even when I had this option available, these were the orders that were the first priority.

So my very expensive item was supposed to arrive by 9PM today. Can I open an A-Z? Nope. I get this for an item that should have been delivered today where I paid nearly £18 for express shipping. There are still couriers that are working brilliantly,

My Husband works for Royal mail.
from Monday no letters at all will be delivered on Saturdays for a ‘Trial’ period.,
parcels will still be delivered on Saturdays (not sure about padded envelope packets, but think not)
& if you usually have your local postbox emptied on a Saturday it will still be emptied on Saturdays.

Just had another A-Z granted seller funded due to these messages, item delivered 4th April. So annoying.
