Deactivation Due to Identity Verification Issue - Seeking Guidance
Hello fellow sellers,
I hope this message finds you all in good spirits. I find myself in a somewhat frustrating situation and would greatly appreciate your insights and guidance.
Recently, I encountered a setback with my Amazon selling account. The issue stems from the identity verification process carried out by the Amazon Payment team. I diligently submitted all the required documents, including my bill (which was approved), my passport, and even my national ID card. However, there were some hiccups in my application process.
Here's the breakdown:
1. I overlooked uploading the signature page of my passport on two occasions. I realized this mistake and promptly provided both the signature page and a crucial page of my passport containing my details.
2. Despite my genuine documents and their non-expiry, I received a message stating that I may not open a selling account on Amazon due to identity verification concerns. I emailed the Payment team, requesting them to reconsider my documents and offering further clarification or additional documents if needed.
3. Regrettably, their response remained unchanged, stating that I cannot open a selling account due to identity verification.
I'm genuinely perplexed as to why my documents were not accepted, given their authenticity and compliance with Amazon's requirements. I'm reaching out to this community to seek advice or similar experiences you might have had.
Is there a particular avenue or approach I should consider to resolve this issue? Has anyone faced a similar situation and successfully navigated it? I'd appreciate any insights or recommendations you can provide.
Thank you in advance for your assistance. Your guidance will be immensely valuable in helping me understand how to address this challenge and hopefully regain access to my Amazon selling account.
Warm regards,
Anisa Noor

Do your details on Amazon match exactly your documents submitted, for instance if your bill says MS A Smith and your account shows you registered as Alan Smith, this would be classed as a mis-match.
Unfortunately Amazon do not tell you what the problem is, which is not helpful and can be a challenge to work out from the limited responses you get.

The issue may well be because you didn't submit the passport correctly and Amazon have decided that you are being deceptive in your ID and have decided that you can not open a payment account.
If you have been told that they will not open a payment account it is very difficult to get back from that.
Do you have any option to appeal?
