ASIN supressed as no longer accepting applications to sell, but had been selling for several months previously
I’ve had an ASIN selling on Amazon both FBA and FBM for several months, and moving units successfully.
However, today Amazon blocked the ASIN saying they are no longer accepting applications to sell products in that category.
Has anyone had any experience of this? I’m just going round the support roundabout with the same copy and paste response. I understand the process of having to apply to sell products, but if it’s one I was already selling and in a category where I sell hundreds of products daily, why would it be blocked and how can I unblock it since I can’t even edit it now?
Many thanks in advance.

The ASIN can be blocked by Amazon at anything. This can happen if brand have put a block or Amazon has decided to limit the number of sellers.
Have you sent any to FBA?

What category is it?
Is it a major brand?

I have had this. Strangely for FBA products they have kept those active on occasions and let sales continue.
Other times sales have been totally blocked. However sometimes if you wait for a few days or weeks then you can apply to sell it.
Sometimes some brands are just blocked totally and you can never get permission to sell them. What is the brand?

Sometimes the “not accepting applications” is either not entirely true or varies by the hour. A seller recently posted the same issue for one of their ASINs which was not accepting applications. I was able to get ungated without even needing to send any invoices.

Hello @ First4_Hampers,
I am sorry you are facing an issue with your listing.
Thank you for the engagement and comments from other sellers which are accurate. The ASIN can be blocked for many different reasons.
Please share the ASIN number with me via direct message and I will check what is going on there
Respectfully,
Julia.
