First time listing - Do i need to register my Brand name?

Hello everyone,

I am a new seller in Amazon and i recently tried to list a new product using my brand name: Lora Experience.

I inserted as Brand name and Manufacturer: Lora Experience and inserted my bar-code that i bought from GS1 Irland.

Unfortunately, when i try to list the product, the below message appear:
You must register your Brand with Amazon before listing ASINs with this Brand name.
My idea is to try to sell something on Amazon before register myself and invest further funds.

As I’m a beginner and my main knowledge comes from forums and videos, could you please explain me what i am doing wrong?

Normally, you don’t need to register your brand with the Amazon Brand Registry prior to being able to include it’s name within your listings.

However, Amazon is checking any product details against the GS1 database to ensure that the correct barcodes are used, so it is possible that they found something which made them require this from you:

”The validity of a Product ID is checked against the GS1 GEPIR and ISBN.org databases. If your Product ID is not registered with GS1, then the linked ASIN will be suppressed and it may result in removal of your product creation privileges.”
