Confusing fees

Good Afternoon,

I have a product selling on amazon.

It previously sold for £12.99 with £4.44 in fees. I dropped the price to £10.99 and had £4.04 in fees.

I have since dropped the price to £9.99 and my fees have dropped significantly to £3.03 allowing me to make more profit selling at a lower price. What is the reason the fees have dropped so significantly? It actually benefits me to sell at a lower price as I’m paying them more than £1 less in fees so profits are slightly higher.

You need to check the rate card. Some categories have lower rates, when prices are below a certain point. Without knowing what the product is you are selling, it’s not possible to know which it is.

Don’t forget referral fees are a percentage so as your price drops, the fee drops

Don’t know if I’m missing something but if you’ve dropped your price by £3 but your fees have only dropped by £1.41 how have you made more profit ?
