Adding well known brand Items Impossible?
I have a store full of Yamaha clothing and accessories i would like to list on Amazon. But listing seems impossible.
I see a lot about Brand Authorisation and how I need permission from the brand etc. I know its a lot to ask but could someone send me step by step instructions of what I actually need to do this. My brain is melting with this. Plus the fact when i try to add the numbers on the barcodes of the products i get error after error saying it doesnt fit any ASIN, EAN , GTIN etc etc.
Seller university kind of tells me what I have to do, but not really how to do it.
Any help at all will be more helpful than you could know

If you need to apply for brand approval it will show up on the listing stage with a link and instructions on how to get it.
As for adding your product, you go to add product, put in the EAN if the listing that shows up matches your product exactly then you add your item to it, if not then you click on my item isn’t listed and make your own listing for it.
If you want more help you will have to give us the error message exactly
Though I believe clothing is a locked category? so you might not be allowed to list there.

Thank You for your response. I have went back onto add a product and this time applied foe a GTIN exception in the Category Clothing / Brand Yamaha. I just dont really understand what im doing. Ive sent a picture of one hoodie in its packaging but how does that cover as proof for every future item i want to post?
I will wait and see the response to the GTIN exception as this is only part of the problem so far

Strangely the swing tag has no barcode.
I applied for the GTIN exception category clothing/brand Yamaha, This has been approved, but i haven’t to post for 24 hours so cant really try yet

So the exemption was added but when i try to add the item as a new product it still tells me i need a GTIN and if I dont have one i need to apply for an exemption. What am i doing wrong?

What does the bag label say, what Barcode, EAN = 13 digit UK/EU barcde (or 12 digit is Americas). Or contact the manufacturer and ask what EAN Barcodes for each SKU also on the label.
Then use that barcode to add items, have you also searched for the SKU to add items?

It might be worth scanning the barcode on the product with a barcode scanner. This way you can see what the barcode is.
Your picture is a little small, however the barcode does look a little long to me compared to the text underneath it. These are meant to match (so if you can’t scan, you type it in), however theoretically it doesn’t have to, and it may have the EAN in that barcode.
