VTR Click and Drop Spain / Italy Exemptions??
All shipments - UK to Europe Marketplaces, are under 20 Euro, using letter / large letter using RM Click and Drop, as per policy
Germany / France works fine, no problem there.
but
Spain / Italy - every single 'exempt' shipment fails VTR
Ive been told the Ship service "Std ES Dom_3" is invalid for Spain and that..
"Royal Mail Click and Drop is not a letter method"
help?? Ive tried and can not get past service/method problem

We've still no idea how Amazon will recognise what is a letter, this has been going on for months.
@Julia_Amazon @Spencer_Amazon @Ezra_Amazon
When will we get the VTR update that was promised weeks ago? There are so many issues and our metrics are going down the pan.
If you could at least provide a date when this can be expected it would be much appreciated.

Hi @Seller_eKxfC0hfusHiG,
To help resolve this, could you please:
- Confirm the specific Royal Mail service you're selecting within Click and Drop for these shipments (e.g., International Standard, International Economy, etc.)
- Let us know if you're choosing 'Letter' or 'Large Letter' as the format when creating these labels
For context, while Click and Drop is the platform you're using, we need to know the actual Royal Mail service being selected.
Thanks! Ezra

Hi @Seller_eKxfC0hfusHiG,
Thanks for your reply! Could be that Royal Mail didn't provide a scan update. The exemption system is working correctly on Amazon end as per partner team response.
Since your VTR is currently at 100%, I can't trigger an internal investigation, but if this happens again with orders from Italy or Spain, just send me those order numbers and I'll look into it.
Thanks, Ezra

@Ezra_Amazon
They are all untracked shipments, except for a few, and they all fail as well, I can see the tracking info.
Ive tried going through Support, they investigated though not sure they understand the problem.
"it is invalid because it is invalid" etc etc.
Anyways, my VTR for Spain / Italy is 0%...using exactly the same shipment method/services, while....100% or N/A for Germany France.
Maybe you could ask the team, exactly how do I send a letter to Spain or Italy?? what service do I use.

@Ezra_Amazon
The exemption system may 'work', but the way Amazon gathers data from Royal Mail for Italy/Spain may not.
for the exemption, there is no need for scan data, all the data you will be getting is a product service code from RM.
If RoyalMail sends 'Std DE dom_3' for Germany and that works, why does 'Std ES Dom_3' fail for Spain, and if that does not work....what code do we use?

Thank you @Seller_eKxfC0hfusHiG,
As a forum moderator, I can't check your seller reports directly, so I can only go by what the partner team tells me.
Have you open a new case with Seller Support about your current VTR report in Spain and Italy? (the case ID: 10979011942 is working on the previous reports). If yes, can you share the case ID so I can help push for a new investigation.
Cheers, Ezra

Been looking at this following your reply on my other thread. Std DE dom_3 is actually Amazon's shipping code that is sent to Click & Drop. Click & Drop then sends this info to Amazon as the shipping service. It is not specific to large letters.
I don't think Amazon use this info for VTR, if you left it blank or put something else I suspect you'll get the same result. There may be other things at play resulting in Spain not working.

@Ezra_Amazon
No new cases, only old ones, I pretty much gave up.
10969256282 - I provided a few examples, screenshots etc final answer was "I did not enter the carrier or tracking ID".....
Seller_eKxfC0hfusHiG
ok, maybe.....regarding is it RM or Amazons code...
so look in your Account health, VTR reports, download them
you'll see a colomn "Ship Option" - I assume that is what it should be (???) and should match actual "Ship Method"
for Spain it is Std ES Dom_3 for both the 'option' and 'method'... If they match (like Germany France) they should be exempt.
Italy is different, it is MFN Std,...but again, option and method are the same... but they all fail
again Im not sure because I still "do not know what a letter is" lolz.... we have come full circle :)
What would make this clear, is Amazon, what service code do I need to enter for Spain / Italy, what are you expecting me to enter?

Hi @PiggyStickers,
Thanks for keeping me in the loop and explaining. I've escalated the case ID; 10969256282 with the partner team to figure out what's going on here.
I'll let you know as soon as I hear back from them. Best, Ezra.

Hi,
"If they match (like Germany France) they should be exempt" - I'm not sure this is correct as "Std ES Dom_3" is not specific to the item value or the package type (i.e. it covers letters and parcels). Parcels are not exempt from VTR.
Strangely our VTR problems are the other way around to yours. Italy and Spain are fine but for Germany and France our letters are being caught.
It really is a mess.
