How to Appeal an account deactivation
Hi All
Any help will be highly appreciated.
I reecntly listed 3 items which have sold and posted and out of the blue, I received a notification that I had to Approve the Brother item to sell an item which I did. To my surprise, immediately I received amessage that my account had been deactivated. Right now, I have been asked to provide the receipts (see below) of the 3 items listed which I have but through thrawling throud the threads on here, I now realise they will not accept my receipt from Argos and Currys on ebay.
My task right now is how to compose an acceptable plan for appeal as I have over £1000 which they will not release if my account is deactivated.
I have already removed all the listings and really plan to close my account once this is all over as it’s very stressful to me. Right now, its like im talking to a btick wall.
Any help will be highly appreciated
Thanks in advance
Jackie
We are reviewing your Amazon Seller account because you are offering items that may be inauthentic. In order to ensure that customers can shop with confidence on Amazon, we routinely request additional documentation from sellers to verify their account information and confirm authenticity of certain items.
How do I reactivate my listings?
- Copies of invoices, receipts, contracts, delivery orders, or authorization letters from your supplier issued in the last 365 days. The quantity of items shown should match your inventory.
- If you are not the brand owner, provide an authorization letter and a complete set of documentation, including authorization letters, to prove a valid supply chain.
- If you are the brand owner, provide a copy of the brand registration certificate, and business license or personal identity card.
- Contact information for your supplier, including name, phone number, address, email, and website.

So you’ve gone for RA which Amazon won’t accept if you’ve said the condition is new.
From the perspective of trying to get your account unsuspended there are 2 things you need to do:
-
Any items you have listed on an RA basis need to be immediately deleted…not closed…deleted
-
You need to source genuine trade stock and provide invoices. I’d suggest 3 items and 10 units of each.
Once you have done that you are in a position to construct a POA. When you are at that point come back to the forum for further advice.

That isn’t very clear. Can you please explain it
Second, on your other thread you were told that if you have an Individual account, you can only sell goods as “Used - Like New”, as they are supposed to be your own unwanted possessions. If you are buying goods to re-sell, you are running a business and must have a business account. This means you will have trouble explaining to Amazon why you were listing as “New” goods bought from Argos and Currys
Third, as you say, your receipts from Argos and Currys will not be accepted, so there is no point in submitting them with your POA

I would suspect from other posts that if the only reason you want the money back is to close the account then you are not likely to get an appeal accepted.
Out of the £1000+ you have taken do you have proper invoices for any of it or sold any of it used-like new?

The way I see it is this. You have a number of options
-
Do nothing. Accept the loses, your account will stay deactivated, you probably wont get your money back (although I cant be sure) and decide never to sell on Amazon again
-
Do as Isabella has said. Source the new products, write a good POA - you can get help on the Forum with that. Have your account re-instated and continue to sell. But, you will then need to re register as a business and with that comes a ltd company or sole trader with accountability towards the HMRC.
Its your choice
