Some advice on policy warning

Just wondering if any one can give any advice on if I have chance of appeal or I should just acknowledge the warning.
I received my first policy warning after selling on here for around 5 years (intellectual property complaint). The product it was regarding I have been selling on here for 2 years maybe a little longer. The complaint come from a team who enforces Intellectual Property Rights of the company, who are a fairly large sized party supply company. The item I was selling is a generic basic design product which does have lots of similar ones to it that are sold in different colours or basic layouts by various brands including big brands and basic amazon sellers. We branded the generic item into our own (own packaging, brand & barcode). I understand that the product as with most products which are not designed by yourself coming from China they originally may of been somebody else’s design. We did carry out as much checks possible but it is very difficult to get bottom if the design is actual owned by one person or company. From the best of my knowledge I am not aware it is one company’s particular design and may of been trademarked at a later date than we started selling.
The person who entered the complaint has not entered any trademark information into the notice only a link to the product on there website. I do believe my design is slightly different to the one they are selling and it may be possible they have registered this design as there own trademark after we started selling. I have reached out to them by email and explained to them that I believe it is different but also explained if it has infringed upon there IP rights we have not knowingly done so. I understand they are well in there right not to reply which leaves me to my questions.
- Do they have to provide me with the details of design which is a trademarked designed i.e trademark number, country of registration or trade mark holder etc.
- If they do not provide me correct trademark information and I believe my item is slightly different will I have a chance at appealing on Amazon
- If I believe they are correct and the mistake has been made on our side once I acknowledge and take responsibility in my performance section does this turn into a violation because I have accepted I was at fault.
