Selling Dried Fruit on Amazon
Hi
I would like to start selling dried fruit on Amazon. The fruit will be sourced from reputable sellers within the EU in bulk and repackaged for sale.
When I attempt to list my product in the Groceries / Food Cupboard / Dried Fruit section the category is locked. When I click the category it tells me to search for the item on Amazon and click to apply to sell it. But, since my product is not a duplicate of a pre-existing product, I can’t do this. And as such the product category remains locked.
I understand I need to generate a product identifier and EAN (although this does not seem to be the obstacle above). Can someone please guide me in how I should do this?

Are you already approved to sell in the Food category?

You cannot just sell in the food category, you have to be approved by Amazon.

As mentioned above go back to the beginning do some more research your going to also need to be registered with your local council to start a business in this way and they will need to come out and inspect the premises where they items will be getting Re-packed and labelled it is likely amazon will require the certificate during your process.
