MFN Amazon estimating all EU shipping times to 6 weeks!
I just reviewed my shipping estimates for the EU (items dispatched from UK) and amazon is telling my buyers their items won’t arrive for 6 weeks. I have my handing + shipping to EU countries set for 13 days. If a buyer places an order, I still have a ‘deliver by’ date that is correct on the order itself. However, when the buyer is shopping and they see the listing, it is telling them ‘delivery by 12-16 february’ on the listing.
I can deliver much faster than that. Amazon hasn’t got the slightest clue which services I’m using, so why they’ve taken this liberty I don’t know, but it’s completely destroyed my sales. I wish they would stop meddling, I can do my own estimates, and whatever they think they know about MY business and MY delivery times, I can assure them they’re severely mistaken.

Frustrating as it undoubtedly is, I think you will find this is the same for everybody, both domestically and internationally. We currently only have the UK marketplace activated and shipping dates on everything yesterday were Dec 30th - Jan 2nd. Today they have moved to Jan 6th - 8th, everything. It is understandable to some extent because of all the recent delays with border closures, Brexit uncertainty etc. However, given that there is now movement on the channel ports and a Brexit deal is about to be announced today (fingers and toes crossed), these dates may be reviewed downwards. One can only hope.

Are you sure you will be able to deliver fast from the UK to Europe after 31st December given the new freight checks that are about to happen? Nobody knows how long it will take to get things flowing. We asked our couriers and they said all of January will be needed to get a handle on the paperwork and checks involved.
