Requesting Reviews on Amazon - Help
Hi there,
New seller here, who is currently undergoing a velocity review due to selling what i can only assume is classed as ‘too much’ with no feedback. I was under the impression that you weren’t able to ask for feedback on Amazon, however when looking into each individual order, there is the ‘Request Feedback’ function. Before i go ahead and use this for the orders already fulfilled, can i just check there are no drawbacks of using this?
Thanks.

I’m in the same boat here. I have messaged previous customers to ask for feedback, I hope I haven’t done wrong now. There is no advice to how much feedback they want to release the funds either and all my bills need paying. Any advice for us both out there???

You can legitimately use the “Request Feedback” button where it is available. Velocity reviews come about as a result of greater than expected volume of sales. For example, if you’ve been selling £1000 a month for 6 months and then suddenly that jumps to £5000 then that would trigger a VR. Likkewise, if you’ve just signed up and you are selling thousands immediately, that would also trigger a VR. A new seller yesterday has had a VR for simply selling £1500 in 3 weeks. There is no rhyme or reason to how it is done but it is not based on feedback, as far as I’m aware.
Something to be aware of when using the “Request Feedback” button (which is not the same as a review). A buyer may leave you negative feedback as well as positive feedback.
