Competitive price
Hi, My prices are a little higher than competitive prices. What happens if I don’t lower my prices? How will my account health be affected? Is my list closed? I am FBA seller. Would you help me with this topic ?

Nothing will happen. You can choose your own selling price
Edit
How little ?

The short answer is it’ll depend. Sometimes nothing happens, sometimes your listing gets suppressed, sometimes your listing gets suspended, sometimes you lose the buybox, sometimes (rarely) you lose your account. It really depends how far above the price Amazon are using to set a competitive level you are.

Hi,
“Competitive Price” is just where Amazon have found a better price from somewhere that is not on Amazon.
“Match Featured offer Price” is to get the buy box (or a share of it).
Both are Amazon tactics to get you to lower your prices.
Nothing should happen if you do not follow the recommendations…unless there is something else going on.

As per above, OP is just a quick way of referring to the person who started the forum thread.

For this amazon can be a joke, for example I had a £7.99 item which after buying the product, amazon fees, postage ect ect I made 48p profit. amazon came along and started selling it for £5.87 and suppressed my listing as it was not competitive. for free delivery you have to spend £20 on amazon so I have no idea how they think anyone “can be competitive” with a price that will simply loose sellers money but that’s one of thousands of stupid things amazon does.
I simply advise if your not making the profit you want just stop selling it, the more sales amazon loose the more chance they will evaluate their practices, what’s the point of cut throat sellers all going for the buy box to make pennies when amazon are still making huge profits from you

Sometimes competitive price can be a bit of a joke, we had a very good selling product which was a keyring last year, selling 100+ units a month at 2.25 and were cheapest on the listing. Amazon then decided that the competitive price is 0.62, so obviously we are far too high at 2.25, and our offer and all other offers were moved out of view to the back page, no sales since.
I have yet to find anyone that will deliver this item for 51p + VAT, and of course even if I did then that would mean I would have to convince the supplier to give them to me free of charge, (which to be fair they do as its a promotional item for their brand from which we sell thousands of products), not pay for the envelope that we use to post it, not pay someone to pick and pack it, and not pay Amazon any fees, then I might just be able to break even

I am currently struggling with this at this exact moment.
I have a product that has been selling quite well at £67.99. I woke up this morning to find Amazon deemed that too high. There are no other sellers on the item so it currently says item unavailable.
I am trying to find the price they deem acceptable. I just tried £29 and it still didn’t come back.
Looks like I will be removing all the inventory and selling on other channels.

Technically, they are prohibited from restricting the ability of a retailer to determine its own resale price, such as imposing minimum or fixed prices.
Why is amazon exempt from european competitive price laws? Why does no one pick up on Amazon’s clear brazen attitude to price fixing, forcing sellers to sell at the prices they dictate or have thier products suppressed, all prohibited under EU competition rules .
The aim of EU competition policy is to safeguard the correct functioning of the single market . In essence, it ensures that enterprises have the possibility to compete on equal terms on the markets of all Member States. Honestly I’m surprised they behave like the EU laws dont apply to them, whilst they police the platform picking on sellers with thier own absurd Amazon Laws for petty things, they’re so untouchable, and most of what they do regarding price fixing and market share is very much illegal by the looks for it.
