My account was hacked overseas - what can i do ? Ive sent the below email to amazon - what can I do ? Is there a helpline anyone knows of??

Dear Amazon,

I have been in touch with your Social Media team who then passed me on to your seller performance team who sent me 2 messages.

The First one explained that a payment card - NOT OWNED BY ME was used on the account, and that they were unable to give me any more information, for privacy reasons.
The second message from the seller performance team declared that they had decided that - I was no longer allowed to sell on Amazon, without really giving any kind of explanation.

Please note - I have never had or subscribed to an Amazon store - the only items I ever sold on amazon were some study books in 2015 - I did not have a sellers account as such , and only made a couple of purchases. I am a UK Citizen and live in Nuneaton , England.

Starting in December 2015 I had hundreds of emails come through in GERMAN for what looks like the sale of electrical items. It looks like my account was hacked by somebody in Germany. In December 2016 and January 2017 I made a lot of phone calls to Amazon - because the problem had happened overseas - I was always transferred to Amazon Europe - where the operators could not understand me 100% due to the language barrier. I eventually asked to close all accounts and sent off a form emailed to me, but the accounts still appear to be open.

After a lot of emails back and forth of recent - its seems we have come around in a full circle. It seems I get passed to a different person each time who does not know the case history.

May I ask - do amazon know - can they see I am in the UK - and don’t have a seller account? I do not nor have I ever lived or operated in Germany and made dozens of calls to try and control this situation? My account has been hacked, at the time December 2015 - because of the communication breakdown, a told my bank to cancel and payments requests from amazon as it appeared the hacker had sold a huge amount of items and I was worried Amazon may try and debit huge amounts of money from me - as a result of the hackers sales or false sales - whatever it is they were up to ?

Now I have just logged in to amazon to see what has happened, the page naturally comes up in German - I don’t speak German, and I am English.

can somebody please contact me explaining
1 - why my selling account is suspended
2- What happened with the hacker and why amazon europe and trying to contact and take money from me?
3- Confirm you are aware I am based in the UK , not Germany and have never subscribed to a seller account in the first place.

i just want me UK amazon account back to normal , but am very worried to enter any payment details after all of the confusion and break downs in communication.

Have I been a victim of identity fraud ? If we can not get to the bottom of this I will be invilving the police - but i would prefer not to if this can be resolved with Amazon.

The reason i think this has gone on so long is because there is no identity or reply email to anyone who has contacted me at Amazon.
Also because I am in UK , but the Hacker was using Amazon Europe - I was often transferred to Europe where the messages and case history was communicated properly as well a the language barrier causing communication issues.

I want to get all of this sorted , please can you help?

You certainly appear very confused.
You do have a seller account and you have stated that you sold items through it a while back.
Since you haven’t used it in a while then almost certainly you didn’t install 2 step verification and so unfortunately it was hacked and false listings put up.
The account is rightfully suspended whilst this mess is resolved and there are several forum regulars who have previously suffered account hacks who will be able to advise you on getting the account sanitised so that Amazon stop chasing you for money.
You may not have a specific German Amazon account but it will be the selling account that you have here in the UK that was hacked and needs sorting out so don’t focus on never having opened a German Amazon account.

There is an email address that you can write to to help resolve this, but try and keep it brief and use bullet points to raise the relevant facts, don’t write an essay like above.

You cannot leave your account for 2 YEARS when its been allegedly hacked!!

Seller Support will not close an account for you - you HAVE to go into your account and close it yourself - but if you were under the impression that Amazon had done this for you then what do you mean by this comment 2 years after a suspected hack?

Now I have just logged in to amazon to see what has happened,

I just want me UK amazon account back to normal - the account that you haven’t used since 2015 for just a few study books and then asked to be closed?

*May I ask - do amazon know - can they see I am in the UK - and don’t have a seller account?

YES THATS CORRECT, NOT A SUBSCRIBED ONE FOR SAY ELECTRICAL ITEMS OR CLOTHES - I JUST SOLD A FEW STUDY BOOKS

WELL YOU CAN , AND THEY THEY DID - AMAZON UK ALWAYS TRANSFERRED ME TO AMAZON EUROPE WHERE WE JUST WENT AROUND IN CIRCLES.
UK WOULD ADKNOWLEGE THE PROBLEM THEN PASS ME ON TO EUROPE. ALTHOUGH THE SALES STOPPED - THERE WERE HUNDREDS OF SALES A DAY UNTIL I FLAGGED IT UP - CONTINUED EMAILS FROM AMAZON EUROPE WERE SENT TO ME IN GERMAN - AFTER I SENT THE FORM BACK MENTIONED BELOW.

AFTER SO MANY HOURS ON THE PHONE TO CUSTOMER SERVICE OVERSEAS - AS UK STATED IT WAS A AMAZON EUROPE PROBLEM - AN OPERTE SENT ME OUT A FORM TO CLOSE ALL ACCOUNTS
