I recently launched a product under my brand. This product was only manufactured for the very first-time last month in Texas, shipped directly to Amazon AWD (first shipment closed May 8th), then from there was shipped to FBA, with the arrivals starting to arrive on May 13, 2025.
As of May 13, 2025, there was zero orders. This means that it is not possible for any customer to have gotten their hands on our product on Amazon, or elsewhere, since this product is manufactured exclusively for Amazon.
Despite the above, our product received 5 fake 1-star reviews dated May 13, 2025.
Each of these 5 accounts used for the 5 fake 1-star reviews used a screenshot of our product listing as the photo for the review, and when I investigated the accounts of the fake reviewers, a few of them had rated similar products with 5 stars or 1 star, indicating to me that these 5 accounts are connected and used to coordinate fake reviews to influence Amazon ratings.
Despite opening a case with Seller Support (Case ID: 17772459881) as soon as the reviews occurred, only 1 of the fake reviews was removed. While I thank Amazon for that 1 removal, I am still 4 review removals short – and this is seriously impacting the success of my launch for this product.
I have reopened this case multiple times to get these last 4 fake reviews reported these reviews everyday, and all I have been told is that I should “continue reporting the malicious reviews” everyday. It has been 2 weeks – and I have reported them everyday… obviously whatever precedent set the first fake review removal can be applied to the last 4 fake reviews.
Do any Amazon mods have any insight on how we can work to solve this issue?
