Good tax filing program for paying UK HMRC taxes ?
by Seller_Cspm2QSedth9f

What is a good PC program for filing UK HMRC taxes? I've been doing it manually on the HMRC website, but they suggested using a computer application. Any recommendations?

Shipping small letter size orders
In reply to: Seller_d8YGbIjNqwFxn’s postby Seller_w9VI3UyAR7oxH

I send around 100 large letters ( £1.55 ) per month and find that 20-30% dont have delivery confirmation - so it's worth checking delivery , even if you dont get a customer complaint , because you can claim compensation for all those without confirmation ... if each item is worth £20 that's an extra £200 - £300 per month compensation from royal mail .

very rarely have non delivery for tracked 48

Shipping small letter size orders
In reply to: Seller_QoQ4dWkKUzqCD’s postby Seller_d8YGbIjNqwFxn

I send between 100 and 200 items each day using Royal Mail Letter (85p Cost). All Brought through Amazon Buy Shipping.

As others said if you opt for this then your only choice is to buy through Buy Shipping to keep to Amazon Policy.

As it is an untracked service you do find that some customers claim non delivery. You have no proof whether it is delivered or not so you either refund or risk an A-Z if you don't.

However I find less than 1% of my Royal Mail Letters have non delivery claims for customers.

I actually have more claims for Royal Mail 48. Whilst this service has a delivery confirmation scan you find in practice that Royal Mail sometimes don't scan the barcode on delivery which leaves you open to fraudulent claims.

If your items are expensive though you do leave yourself open to fraud using Letter Post so you may want to look at some form of tracked service.

PO Box address for seller account
by Seller_sdciVpJlMHpt3

Does anybody have any experience of using a PO Box address on Amazon, especially for returns?

We have been on Amazon for over 10 years, so not a new seller. We are moving from our business premises in a few weeks and will be using a residential address for a period. We do not want our residential address publically available for security reasons and have set up a PO Box address. This is no issue on any other marketplace or our website, but Amazon seem to be less than helpful with these type of changes.

All other business information will remain the same - company name, registered business address, company number, VAT number, contact details etc

- The return address will need to be changed to the PO Box address so that customers do not have our residential address.

- The ship from address can remain as our residential address if this information is not publically accessible and used only internally by Amazon. If it is shown publically then this would also need to be changed to the PO Box address.

Does anybody else do something similar or have any experience of it?

Thanks in advance

False Patent infringment
by Seller_1EREfwrjmu8b2

Hello im looking for some advise in how to deal with someone who cant handle any competition

I have been selling generic remote controls compatible with firesticks, if you search for them on amazon there is 2 listings at the too of the page were iver 5k per month are being sold . I am selling them cheaper and therefore i am getting reported saying he owns the "design rights". Basically he has took a photo of the remote and paid £50 to claim he designed it , and he hasnt

The remote was on the market years in china years before he registered his photos of it and obtained a design rights number . There must be 500 people selling the same remotes on amazon but he dont report them as they arent competing and affecting his sales , how can amazon just allow people to pay £50 to get a design right number and claim they are the designer . Surely this is illegal to claim your the design owner and you should be providing alot more evidence to register a design to obtain a rights owner number than putting a product on a table and taking photos of it

I kid you not, item delivered at 11:32 this morning, buyer filed an AtoZ claim at 12:01, I refunded seconds later, AtoZ granted against me?!

Amazon = incompetence personified.

Hi

I’m sure I’ve seen the sentence before. I suspect a drop shipper is looking back through their Amazon orders and if the tracking shows the item as not delivered (frequently the case with Royal Mail 48) they demand a refund using the following wording

”I still have not received my order even though the estimated delivery date has passed. Can you process a full refund for my order no ’

Anyone else seen this?

Cheers

There are A-Z's then there are A-Z's
by Seller_GkLry66xQzT9C
Amazon replied

Sometimes I am staggered at what people do. We Always try and help customers where we can and our service record shows that but in over 7 years the worse case of buyer manipulation ever. Really not sure what to do so answers on a postcard.

A customer buys a personalised item of clothing and we ship tracked 48 as always within 24 hours. After we shipped the item the customer asks to change the size. We said we would assist the customer where possible to soften the blow of their mistake so contact us when they receive it. The item was delivered 4 days ago. This morning with no further messages and A-Z saying hasn't arrived and 10 minutes later an order in the size they wanted their order changed to. What would you suggest. Clearly I will appeal the A-Z but pointless I guess.

A customer purchased a Ministry Of Sound CD but was disappointed with the DJ party style track mastering. She therefore left a negative feedback rather than a product review. I contacted the customer and offered her an alternative product which she loved. She then tried to remove the original negative feedback but has been completely unable to achieve it despite her spending over an hour on the phone to Amazon buyer customer support. She has also sent me a number of Amazon buyer-seller messages to say she wants to remove the feedback but needs help because she is not up with the technology.

After all of her efforts with buyer customer support, the result was an Amazon message sent by buyer support to me to say that I should remove the feedback? (See below)

"...Dear Amazon Seller, This is Amazon’s Customer Service team. A customer reached out to us with some questions about a purchase they made from you. Here’s a description of the issue:

Product: B0714H5FZH Order number: 205-6165475-6531550 Return requested: No

Reason for contact: cx wants the feedback to be removed , please get this done as soon as possible Please respond to this request within 48 hours. Thanks, Amazon Customer Service..."

I got in touch with Amazon Seller support and they contacted the feedback team but the answer coming back was that yes they can see that the buyer is trying to remove the feedback and has technical difficulties but unfortunately there is "nothing they can do".

Lets face it, the software options are difficult to handle, finding where to remove feedback is not easy to find even when you are experienced and the process of contacting support is being made ever more awkward.

This has been an unbelievable and disappointing experience for both buyer and seller surely Amazon can handle these situations better ?

Hello Amazon Community,

I've been trying to get my account verified for our UK VAT establishment, but despite submitting all required documents, the process is stalled. Our company has two directors: one based in the UK with more than 50 percent share, whose driving license and water utility bill have been provided, alongside other necessary company documents. The second director's ID and bill have also been submitted.

Despite this, Amazon has not provided a clear reason for the verification failure. Could anyone shed light on what might be causing the issue or share their experience in resolving similar verification challenges?

Thank you in advance for any assistance or insights you can provide!
