EAN 8 Codes. Are they accepted?

Hi everyone. I am just worried because I bought my first accesories for Amazon but when I searched them in Amazon catalogue, no results at all.

Right under the barcode there were 8 digits. So I did my research and found out that:

An EAN-8 is an EAN/UPC symbology barcode and is derived from the longer International Article Number code. It was introduced for use on small packages where an EAN-13 barcode would be too large.

In my case since my products were small maybe thats why EAN-8 was used by the company who manufactured it.

What further confused me was that, under the 8-digit code there is another set of 7-digit code followed by 2 more digits. (Please see attached photo). When I used these 7 digits in the search product tab, amazon was able to bring up results of completely different kind of products.

4724258C-263F-4F4D-9FF4-91E35AD37800

I did my further research and found out that the 7 digit code could be the manufacturer’s reference number. I might be wrong though.

So I just want to ask if amazon will accept my products though only having an 8 EAN code.

Thank you to all who will reply.

Amazon will only accept GS1 registered bar codes, they will not accept Chinese EAN-8 bar generic codes.
