It all depends on your metrics. If you can afford a possible defect, explain the buyer that you have shipped the exact item, which was ordered. Offer them to return the package for a refund.
If you receive back an empty box, you won’t be required to refund and with a good response, Amazon will close any “Items not as described” A-Z claim as “Amazon Funded”.
From personal experience I know it can happen
Amazon sent me an empty game box - not sealed (it was supposed to have been new - FBA).
Of course I complained and was refunded and they did not request the empty box back.
Bear in mind this has only ever happened once and certainly is not the “norm”.
Do you have POP stating the weight when sent?
Hey,
I just had a customer do the same and I asked them to send a pic of the box as I didn’t believe them but would you believe there was actually a line of thin tape over my thick tape on the bottom of the box so it’s very possible it was nicked in transit and not by her!
This was also a Hermes <1kg parcel so possibly something worth keeping an eye on?
Jo
Please everyone report every single costumer who is doing that. I think this is extremely important so that costumer get marked anc banned
Just to come back on this, my customer was in Kinross, I wondered if there was a pattern we could perhaps find?
TO be honest we have had it before and the common factor is hermes…
refund then use the email from the buyer as proof to claim off Hermes
