How many items Amazon will take on first shipment?
1000 pieces of our first product that we want to sell on Amazon FBA are ready in China, we have been told that Amazon may not allow all of them in one go into it’s warehouse as it’s a new product, question is how do we know how many would it allow, should I open a support case? Ideally we’d like it to take in all 1000 so we don’t have to bear cost of another warehouse for the remaining, any suggestions welcome.
Thank you.

You can either go to your IPI Performance tab and the storage / restock limits are at the bottom of the screen https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/inventory-performance/dashboard
, or likewise from your shipment page they are on the bottom too.
That said, 1000 seems like a lot for a first shipment.

I think most new sellers have restock limits of 1000 so you’d be OK but ask yourself…
- if you really want only one product at fba,
- if you want to risk sending it all and it not selling so you pay huge storage fees/removal fees
- have you checked the quality etc before sending it straight to amazon?
- what if the shipment has different destinations?
