Intellectual property complaint need help
hi i have a intellectual property complaint on my account from a USED book i had at home and purchased a few years ago that i sent in to FBA to sell.
i am worried this is going to affect me selling on amazon and i really want to get the issue resolved to avoid any future problems selling, i dont have a purchase receipt for the item as i said it was bought a long time ago for myself.
how can i solve this issue? what can i do to remove this from my account ? obvious;y i wasnt aware that this would be a problem selling as i would never have listed the item .
can you help me will this be removed after certain length of time ? this was just a USED book but its really could create my future business with issues selling on the platform and am worried going forward if this is going to affect me pursuing a full time business and in my opinion its absolutely crazy i can get this for a used book
thanks in advance

IP complaints cannot be legally enforced in regards to the resale of used or secondhand items.
Are you able to take a screenshot of your listing showing that it is a used item? If so…
send /email notice-dispute@amazon.co.uk
Used books whatever next!

NO, you willl need to successfully appeal it on the grounds that it was raised in error due to the book being second hand.
[You did list it as used didn’t you?, not “new” in error?]

There are some circumstances in which a legitimate IP complaint could be made about books. For example,I have a copy of a book that was published, but was later the subject of a Court order that it should be withdrawn from circulation and all unsold copies pulped. It was later re-published with a small part of the original text removed. It would probably not be illegal for me to sell my copy, but I wouldn’t be able to list it on Amazon, as the ISBN is blocked. There have also been instances where an author, who holds copyright, has had a falling out with a publisher and has won a Court order to have all copies issued by that publisher withdrawn from sale.
Such cases are rare, but where they arise, the IP restrictions could apply to secondhand as well as New copies of the book.
