Temporary Deactivation

Hi Everyone,

I’m a new seller and my account is temporarily deactivated because I listed one unit of an hasbro Toy I bought from John Lewis (bought 2 Units).
Usually, I list items (0 quantity) on my Manage Inventory just to check for Ranks and Amazon charges as merchant fulfilled. And this is one of them as I’m not ready to sell the toy yet.
My question is, should I submit the John Lewis Invoice (I don’t know if Amazon would accept it), OR should just I say it was a mistake that I listed 1 quantity of the item in my Appeal since Amazon is asking for receipts, invoices etc for authenticity?

Thanks.

Amazon won’t accept retail invoices for items sold as new on the site.
If you do this, you can only sell this kind of thing as Used/Like new.
Or better yet, sell on Ebay as Amazon does not like retail arbitrage.

So if you have been suspended, then you will need to put in a POA.
Basically you need to tell them what you did wrong, why it happened and how your going to avoid doing it again.
Post up the notice you got from Amazon for better help.

You will also need permission to sell toys on Amazon. While you’re waiting for a response from Amazon to the POA you’re about to submit, you ought to look at the Seller University and Programme policies pages, read and re-read them until you’re sure you understand them and can comply with them, otherwise you’ll soon get hit with another suspension

Hi Everyone,

Here’s my appeal letter:

Dear Seller Performance Team,

Thank you for giving me the chance to appeal my account’s suspension due to product’s authenticity.

I understand that Amazon takes product authenticity very seriously and I will like to share with you my plan of action.

Root Causes of The Issue

– About ten days ago, I listed and wanted to sell one unit of toy (ASIN:) I bought from a third party retailer (John Lewis) in a category that I have not been fully approved of.

– Due to my inexperience and lack of knowledge as a new seller, I naively assumed that sourcing inventories from a third party retailer was an acceptable way of acquiring inventories thereby violating Amazon Policies.

– Because I was allowed to list the item, I assumed that that indicated that no further research needed to be carried out on how to acquire inventories.

Steps I have taken to resolve the issues:

– The product and listing concerned has been removed and deleted from my seller account.

– I have fully read and re-read all Amazon policies and guidelines. I have also learned more regarding Amazon policies concerning counterfeit items in order to ensure I do not violate them;

Steps I Have Taken To Prevent It From Happening Again

    • I have stopped purchasing inventories from other third party retailers in order to meet Amazon requirements.
    • I have since been sourcing inventories directly from manufacturers (such as ) and authorised distributors (please see attached invoices), who have provided valid invoices meeting Amazon’s requirements.
    • Before listing any items for sale, I will carefully check to make sure that they perfectly match their Amazon product pages in every detail. Any inaccuracies will be resolved by adhering to Amazon policies, procedures and guidelines.

I hope my plan of action has sufficiently addressed the issues and looking forward to having my account reinstated.

Yours sincerely,

Any inputs shall be appreciated from you all.

That’s a great news.Congrats big time. I really appreciate if you share your POA and steps you have taken. I am in the same boat with exactly same case new seller and Hasbro listed by mistake because it was ungated.
Did you also shared Letter of Authorization from distributor with your POA or only invoices ?.
