Thermal Printer. Help needed!
Hi all
I’m looking to buy a thermal printer for 4"x6" labels (standard RM Click and Drop size) for roughly under £150.
I’m having a bit of difficulty even finding ones that fit that size and wondered if anyone currently has one that they would recommend?
Many thanks

Hi,
We use a Zebra GK420D, we bought it second hand from the other platform! Works perfectly, just the job, I am sure there are other models available too.

Hi,
We have 2 GK420D one brand new and the other we purchased second hand. Great printers!

Also checkout the Zebra LP2844. It’s the old version of the GK420D, so can often be found cheaper on eBay. Works just as well though.

definately 2nd the Zebra printers - there are two types Thermal GK420d and direct transfer - GK420t - thermal fades after time and doesn’t like heat - Direct transfer is more permanent

RM was doing a promo on Zebra with
https://www.thebarcodewarehouse.co.uk/
and the account manager should give you a code… a new one is around £150…
plus RM will give you free labels if you got a C&D account with them

I use Zebra GK420D.
The Zebra LP2844 is cheaper but not as good, sometimes has issues with some special characters

I have the Zebra LP2844, like ron585 says it occasionally has trouble with special characters but otherwise its been excellent. , I brought it 2nd hand on the other site and its being going two years with me so far.

You need the Zebra but if you are using Click and collect you can get it at a subsidised price - I think its was about £130 but I cant remember - just call Click and collect and they will give you an email address for you to send your order through - I have had it now for about 6months, no problems great printer

Yes the best printer, I use Zebra ZP450, it supports the same drivers as the LP244, I have a spare printer LP244 given to me via UPS however I have not used it for over 6-7 years… If you are located in surrey I am happy to give it to you free of charge may need a power supply and usb cable. Otherwise check eBay as current one was found there and it works like charm. It supports all sizes as far as I am aware.
