Undeliverable shipping address
Hi guys
A customer has not provided their street name or number. I have messaged them but if I do not hear back from them and I cancel their order with the reason undeliverable shipping address, it won’t hit my metrics…will it?!

Check on Google map or phone their local Royal Mail if in doubt., maybe out in the countryside somewhere, a farm? Perhaps off an unnamed country lane, rural area.
Edit - I’d send it, if you get it back - refund the buyer with the reason undeliverable shipping address and add in the note to the buyer (in the refund part) to update the shipping address and re-order.

It’s a known flaw on the system. Providing an inaccurate address waiting 10 days to say they have not received their order. We have group of females who do that on a regular basis.

I know on other websites if the customer provides inaccurate delivery address the seller can cancel the order immediately without waiting for a response. No damage to metrics and the system automatically triggers the alert showing the abuse on the platform. Also other websites the address is verified by the website owners on this website that can type any old address or even provide you with an incomplete or fake name.

Downloaded an order report and it just states the same info as on the order pages.
I don’t trust these orders but do not want to take a double hit to my metrics. Really not sure what to do…
Would some people mark as shipped and then refund?..

Another thing you can check also ,have they provided a phone no on the order ( for god sake do not ring it !)? I had a few orders with address incomplete but with a number 88 as the phone no. which rung My Sherlock Holmes scam button lol.

Thanks guys. Both orders have phone numbers. One customer has actually just got back to me confirming the full address (phew). Happy to send that out but unless I hear from the other customer by tonight I will cancel the order.

you have to ship to the address provided . by Amazon (yes i know silly)
Best thig to do is print a shipping label , Mark as shipped , cancel the shipping label , and then refund the order

You could trying sending a signed for letter with copies of the emails you tried to send and ask them to contact you . Then see if it is signed for
