Amazon price bug my fba items selling for 70% cheaper

Hi,

My fba orders on 6-7 asins seem to be selling for 70-90% cheaper- we immediately changed the price manually but many business customers have swooped all my stock leaving me with hefty losses

Support have said to wait 24hrs but what if they ship, can we still cancel?

Can we still cancel right now?

Any assistance would be helpful.

Since we all know its happening is there any way to calculate and get a list of each order that was effected? I want to export to excel so we can have precise list and total loss calculation. On my part its clear that all items have been sold with 4.49 deducted. I'm hoping at the very least they will reimburse fulfilment fee as this alone takes to a loss sale per each sale not even counting in and item price. Does anyone have any plan how to deal with this? I mean more of us voice it more chances we get this resolved.

We have been having the same problem for at least 48 hours. £2.99 shipping is being picked up by our repricing software and prices are being adjusted accordingly often putting us into a loss. We currently have 108 ASIN's sat in stranded inventory due to low pricing error.

We did open a case with Amazon yesterday and attach logs from our repricing software and Amazon have pushed back blaming it on the software

Waiting for Amazon's solution...

We sold 400+items yester in 2 hours. This will cost me £2000+ any missed sales today as we have turned off our repricr

Yesterday around 4pm all FBA prices dropped. In most cases the price drops seemed to be equivalent to the shipping price that was showing on the featured offer, visible in Amazon seller central. I have attached a screenshot of Amazon seller central and the actual listing on Amazon. The featured offer show £9.58 + £4.49. This should have no shipping cost. The listing shows the actual price at £9.58. Because the API is sending the extra shipping repricer has taken that figure off the actual price to the buyer.

If a listing was supposed to be £8 with an FBA SHIPPING FEE OF £3. The buyer has paid £6.

I have attached a transaction list of all currently dispatched orders that have incurred losses.

The issue now is.

1. Every shipped sale from the period has a negative impact on my seller money.

2. I now don't have stock to sell at the correct price

3. I now have to buy new stock, with no money

4. I have to send stock in , which is now passed Amazon requested date

5. All associated costs with preparing and sending in the stock are now lost

6. I cannot turn the repricer back on so I am charging a middle price. Some items will sell too cheap and some will not sell.

This is a critical business issue. The mistake is clearly Amazons but needs to confirmed rectified so we can continue to price effectively and reestablish sales.

weirdly some lines that was affected yesterday have lost the 4.49 shipping but the rest hasn't. hopefully this is them sorting the issue out size by size but 100% this will of cost a lot of money

We had the same issue, 500GBP loss with some customers purchasing 50 units for 0.10 GBP. These happened in multiple markets. We're using XSellco repricer.

Amazon recognized a single sku as a pricing error, but missed all the others. We're trying to chase them up, but I don't get my hopes up.

Same issue. Noticed an unusual spike in FBA sales around 5pm yesterday. Saw this before bedtime around 12pm. Initially didn't think much of it as we mostly sell seasonal items, however when noticing stock being wiped out at as low as 0.2p! had to wake a few people to help figure out and put a halt to this nonsense.

Loss is now in its many £100s. Christmas has come early for many lucky customers but its devastating for our small business. Issue raised with Amazon support. Don't hold much hope though.

Btw we managed to bulk 'close' affected FBA listings, but there is no bulk re-open option. Any work around as doing each listing individually is taking forever!

So apparently they cant cancel orders due to customer service and experience.

Can someone in forum escalate this for us?

Wow... Ongoing problem for 6 years?! I've been selling for 7 years, but I never noticed this.. Although I asked around, and it seems that not ALL repricers were picking up on this bug.. I'm using Bqool (they had this issue yesterday, I made over £300 loss within 3 hours) - and previously used RepricerExpress before it merged with Repricer.com..

Which Repricer Software are you using?

Hi all,

We are in the exact same position and are trying to gather as much info as possible. We are on the premium support service and are in talks with our account manager. They are very aware now (were not first thing this morning).

£4.49 shipping is not being added to orders and which ever repricing software you use this is not updating. Weird how not on all listings however and not a constant £4.49 but is around there for most of our UK listings.

We noticed this last night around 9pm, with help services shut at 8pm we bombarded the support tickets with urgent to calls for this morning. Our repricing software have been a great support and have put our account in safe mode but they cannot do anything more, THIS IS AN AMAZON ISSUE!!!

We have since been getting multiple orders constantly whereby we are loosing money, same as all of you. There is no way to switch off fba sales, or cancel!!!! You can close listings in bulk which we debated but you have to get inventory back for this and it seems such a risk.

We were told this was fixed around 2 hours ago by Amazon themselves, but have since been told it is not and still on going.

We have spoken about possible compensation if we get a list of all orders this affects and try through seller support, Amazon need to take responsibility for this and pay sellers the money lost due to all of this!!!!

I really hope we all get answer very soon as this is still going on and every order we are loosing out on!!!

To us this is happening from last 5-7 Days. That I change prices manually every morning. And after half an hour or an hour or so. The prices change back to previous ones. for example I changed the price of a product from 16.65 to 14.99 and from 6 days it change back to 16.65 every day. It is not changing.

Hey All looks like there is a fix in place. If you manually update your price (for me I just manually updated everything up by £0.01 it will get rid of the postage cost. From there I re enabled my pricing software and it's working

For your sanity though I would set your minimum price on amazon at 90% of your current price at-least till your confident its working. Screenshot attached

This has worked for me but your mileage may vary!

I think it went a little something like this,

Amazon boss to supervisor, "how can we empty the warehouses, whilst maintaining profit and delighting customers?

Supervisor had just seen Matilda in the west end and so had a thought. Next day he goes to the boss.

"Sometimes you've got to be a litlle bit naughty"

Boss replies.... excellent but what about the sellers?

Supervisor says "who"?

Conspiracy theory.

You have to laugh or else you cry!

Similar problem, some products are apparently randomly being repriced. We noticed it because the products were going below the minimum safety pricing set on Amazon and therefore being delisted with a pricing error.

So far it seems to be intermittent. There was one product that was affected yesterday and is back to normal today. Two other products today.

Using repricer.com

I hope this was fixed, because big sellers will drop their prices and not even realise - therefore ruining the value of items. I didn't notice this, as I don't use FBA much, but clearly others have and maybe this is why my sales fell off a cliff the past few days for many items...? perhaps it means the value dropped because of this issue? not sure. Just seen this post.

This has affected a number of our FBA products.

One particular customer managed to buy 41 units of one product for £0.11 each, so the price minus £4.49 shipping. However, Amazon has refused to cancel the order because it is against their policy! This price change and sale occurred after I made Amazon aware of the issue with this product.

We have opened a case for every affected ASIN but we have not yet received a proper response.

The glitch has not only changed the prices for orders that include shipping, it has also reduced the prices of the affected ASINs in our inventory. This has made the low prices available to all customers.

Hello Sellers,

Thank you for flagging this. We are aware of the situation and working on it.

We'll continue to provide updates here in this thread as the situation evolves. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this.

Best regards,

Julia.

What will be the claims procedure

They have to admit that it's their fault first. You do know that right now, there is likely to be a meeting in progress of top executives who are deciding on the text of the announcement blaming repricing software.

Same thing happened to us and they have the following reply like this

Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,

We have reviewed your email that you would like to investigate about the shipping price charged for the ASIN

Please be informed that, Amazon provides Free delivery for the orders shipped through FBA. The shipping fee updated on the listing is due to an technical issue. Our team is working on to remove the fee from the Manage Your Inventory page.

However, be assured that, buyers and sellers will not be charged for the shipping fee when ordering. you can co=heck and confirm in orders and payment page, hence in this case reimbursement is not required.

So basically they won't responsible for the problem at their API???
