Refunds to customers taking longer and longer

I don’t make many refunds (or sales for that matter!) but have had 2 in the last 10 days or so. Both cancellation requests after I’ve dispatched the item but before it being collected. Yay more money down the drain!

Anyway… Refunds have always since day dot left my balance on my Seller Central homepage around 2-6 hours after I hit the refund button. Depending on how busy the platform is, time of day , season, leaves on the track etc - but always the same ish.

I noticed the refund I sent last Friday the 22nd hadn’t gone then had a load of sales and as I disburse every day regardless of millions (:joy:) or ten quid, I usually notice the refund leaving the account.

I clearly missed that I’d not seen it nor another and during night Friday 29th the first left the account leaving a £40 negative balance. No issue I dispatched a load of orders and just made it back into the black. Last night another “Old” refund left my account for another £30 ish sending me straight back into the red.

I know that they were legit refunds so that doesn’t bother me - just a little annoying the feeling like I’m less in control of keeping my balance in the black.

Anyone else seeing this currently?

P.S I should say that the “pending refund” changed to “prior refund” as it should hours after the refund button was pressed and the order screens only show ONE refund as they should.

Yes the past 48 hours we had a dozen or so e-mails come through to say refunds were being processed and taken from our account… but they were for refunds we had issued over a week ago… clearly some sort of processing delay.
