Item cost €8.55 Amazon took €7.46 Our proceeds! €2.33

Can someone please help, I have just sold the 1st item via FBA to non UK (Germany) and below is the sales details

Product Charge €8.55
Amazon Fees €7.46 !!!
Other €1.24 (shipping charge back, only God knows what this means)
Our proceeds €2.33 ???
Summary> item is 8.55 and we get 2.33

2nd Issue, whilst looking at these, I realised amazon did not update our FBA price on Germany, this item at the moment is 9.99 in the UK site but is showing the old 8,55 in Germany. This item/listing is “linked” if prices do not update then why do they say it is linked?Does this mean I have to manually go into every single item and manually update the price?

The FBA fees are always available for you to review them in the Manage Inventory section of your account.

Also, they are based on the product dimensions and weight entered in the listing. If you believe that you were incorrectly charged, I would advise you to review the information and see if it matches the actual data.

Have a look at the FBA rate card: https://m.media-amazon.com/images/G/02/FBA_Files/2019/190726-FBA-Rate-Card-UK.pdf?ld=NSGoogle_null

Shipping chargeback is when the customer has paid additional for posting (e.g. non-prime orders under £20, or for faster shipping) and Amazon takes this amount.

Ignore the shipping chargeback and just take it straight off the price (but you will need to account for it in your books since you’ve been paid the extra then had it taken back)

Selling price: €8.55
FBA fee (large envelope up to 1kg): €4.50 + 20% VAT (€0.90) = €5.40
Amazon fee (8% of selling price): €0.68 + 20% VAT (€0.14) = €0.82
Proceeds: €2.33

Same item for UK selling at £8.99
FBA fee (large envelope up to 1kg): £2.05 + 20% VAT (£0.41) = £2.46
Amazon fee (8% of selling price): £0.72 + 20% VAT (£0.14) = £0.86
Proceeds: £5.67

This means the item has either been measured by Amazon as being more than 2.5cm thick or weighs more than 460g. If you’re sure it’s neither of those contact seller support to request a re-measurement.

The seller central fee advice assumes it’ll be sold in the same country as it is stored. You’ve used cross-border fulfilment, perhaps unknowingly. To turn that off you’ll need to delete your listings in the other EU marketplaces, or look into PanEU, which means you’ll need to be VAT registered in at least 5 countries and also comply with Germany’s packaging law.

Also since you’re already selling via the German marketplace you should already be complying with their packaging law.
