Transfer VAT from Dutch bank account to HMRC
We have to transfer £ 124.99 of VAT to HRMC.
In my Dutch bank account, I can choose the following options regarding bank transfers:
- You share the costs with the recipient (SHA)
- You pay all costs (OUR)
- The recipient pays all costs (BEN)
Will I have problems if I choose to have HMRC pay the bank transfer fee?

I hope this is a sarcastic question! Of course you’ll have a problem if you do that. You owe HMRC £124.99. If less than that gets deposited (£124.99 - fees) then you will still owe (£fees) to HMRC - if the transaction is even allowed.
£124.99 is the amount needed to reach the recipient (HMRC). You pay the fees.

Yes HMRC are likely to say that you will have to pay the fees and will add the fees they paid to your VAT bill. So you will not clear your balance.
You should pay all the costs, there maybe other alternatives via the HMRC website where you can pay by card where the cost maybe lower. Certain cards are free but from memory I think this is only UK personal debit cards

As it is your choice to have a Dutch bank, not HMRC’s, I would imagine you will. You may be fined for late payment if they don’t receive the full amount. Don’t take the risk.
