Having Issues getting my products listed due to parent sku error
Hi,
Guy I wonder if someone can he my hero and help me figure out why my i cant seem to create a parent sku - & child sku
Error code that come up are
5461
8007
8040
Any advice/ help will be greatly appreciated

You need to first of all delete the parent listing altogether and then give it at least 24 hours before you try to recreate or do anything with the listing.
Check the child asins on the main Amazon selling site and ensure that no other parents are created and they are standalone products.
Try to then recreate the parent. If it still fails you will need to contact brand registry for them to release permissions on the listing.

From what it looks like, those error codes, Error 8007, Error 5461 and 8040, all have to do with the Parent SKU, I attached their definitions from Seller Central except for 8040, although that also has to do with with Variation.
@JR_Wristbands is right, do some research on the items, I will also attach some links that you may find helpful, About parent-child relationships, Add a Variation using Variation Wizard, Variation Relationships Overview, Create Variations with Examples, Create product variations using the Add a Product tool.
Lot of links, apologies, but I do think they are helpful.
