Amazon UK Requiring CE Markings
We are a Manufacture trying to setup our Car Seats on Amazon UK. I have a new car seat that is certified ece r44/04 safety standard. The product has been successfully ungated on all Eu marketplaces except UK. They are asking for CE marking. The problem is that car seats do not need CE marking. There is a unique compliance label on each product with the certification number. It appears that amazon UK catalogue team do not understand this and work on a check list but are asking for something that doesn’t exist. Has anyone been able to successfully overcome this issue and if so how did you accomplish it?

This exact issue was raised 3 years ago by another seller.
Amazon eventually relented.
Maybe that seller would assist you?
Amazingly both posts are incredibly similar despite the age gap…Did you copy this post when making your thread?

Hi,
Amazon have updated their safety policy. Search "Infant car seats and booster seats ":
" Amazon’s policies require that certain life safety products sold through Amazon meet certification standards. To sell these products on Amazon, apply by submitting the following information to eu-life-safety-equipment@amazon.co.uk:
- Your company name
- Your vendor ID or seller ID
- your email address
- Your phone number
- A list of ASINs you are applying to sell
- The country or countries where you would like to sell your product
- A product image that displays the ECE approval label, to demonstrate compliance with ECE R 44/4 or ECE R 129 (i-Size)
- Images of the manual and safety instructions in the language of the country of sales
- Homologation certificate issued by government of the country of approval
- A test report from a certified body showing compliance with Furniture and Furnishings Fire Safety Regulations 1988
You can find a list of NRTLs who might be able to help you with product certification on the Europe Compliance Solutions page."
Good luck.
