Shipping for books
Hello,
So I have an individual account and i understand that when i list my products, they will show a shipping cost of £2.80 to the customer. This is if i select ‘standard delivery’. However, books have to be delivered within 2 days of the customers order - is there anyway i change the estimated delivery times on my listings, to display an accurate time?
I can see some sellers have put it in the condition notes when you click on ‘1 used from…’ - I’m assuming you can do this for each product at the point of listing it?

No, that is not correct - not delivered in 2 days, but you have to send within 2 days or you will be marked down for late despatch rate . You can choose to enable Expedited shipping in your shipping settings in which case customers can choose either standard or expedited, for which they will pay about £8 + for shipping, so will expect to receive it quickly.
Amazon do still allow 2 days ‘handling’ time, even with expedited, but I always send the same or next day by 1st class Signed or Special Delivery.
I usually use 2nd class and more often than not customers receive their orders within 2 days - I am nearly always able to post same or next day.
Amazon will show the estimated delivery times based on your shipping setting, but at the moment they are all longer due to the current situation.
To be honest, it is impossible to display a fully accurate delivery time as you are dependent on the service you choose to use.
